    11-19-06 Who was there?

I know I sent the Wolfette and Mr. Lightyear999 off to the Park today, and they were going to try and stop by the Noon COW meet....but since they are not back yet....Just curious!? Who was there today...any pics? Will be there next week, but kinda missed going today.

    Thanks ahead of time.

I stopped by very briefly (I promised Mrs. Quest I would just say HI and rejoin her!). Saw Darkbeer, BandOfGypsies and someone else whose name I recognized, but it escapes me now (dang it, she was really nice, too - are you reading this, Lovely Woman Whose Name I've Forgotten...?). The Quest toddlers ran out of steam, so we came home early, after a crowded and unseasonably hot (but fun) day.

I have discovered it was VilliansFan who was the first MiceChatter I met on my very first meet...
(She's delightful, you know, and I say this after knowing her about 45 seconds, so I know of what I speak.)

Ok, obviously, I was there and had the pleasure of meeting quite a few new people! For an unpublicised meet, we sure had a good sized group and had I had a great time meeting and spending some time with everyone.

Also, Happy Anniversay to Band of Gypsies, and the Luv Lilos , and Happy Birthday to Brian

    Re: 11-19-06 Who was there?

I took my 78 year old dad on Sunday and we had a good time. Last time he had been was when my Mom was still alive, so he had a lot of happy memories (and sadness she wasn't there to enjoy it with us.) He couldn't stop talking about Soarin over California, and said he wished it was longer...

I had never seen the flag retreat, and since my dad was in both the marines and the army, I made sure we caught the ceremony. It was very well done. I noticed some guys that looked like civilians that kinda joined in the ceremony— does anyone know how they get to be part of the ceremony? Some pics below.

I look forward to meeting all of you chatters sometime soon!

Cap'm Ook (clever handle!) - I'd ask that question in the Disneyland forum (if you haven't already) Great pics!!

dontbecheekin, one_good_scare and I will be stopping by the meet tomorrow! W00t!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
