Thanks to ALIASd for posting this thread, and JohnnyQuest for commenting about the idea for a MiceChat meet at the Science Center to check out the Star Wars Exhibit.
I am posting this thread to see if anybody else is interested in getting together for one of the days and checking it out as a group. In the poll are the movies that are offered, and they are the only way to gaurantee that you will get into the exhibit (unless you are a member).
You can see that the movies, the dates they run and their times are all in the poll. I have enabled picking more then one option ... but in doing so please ONLY PICK ONE MOVIE AND ONE TIME. This way I can gauge when the most of us will be interested in going and then arrange a date from there.
The poll will close on January 5, 2007 ... so we can decide on a date and purchase our tickets. If more then 15 of us will be going they do offer group rates.
EDIT: For those attending, we will be going FEBRUARY 17 @ 1:30 PM. The movie we will watch is "DESTINY IN SPACE", and the Star Wars exhibit will follow.
Here is the "itinerary" for our meet at the California Science Center.
If you need directions to the center, follow THIS LINK to help you out.
Parking is $6.00 per car, $10 for buses or oversized vehicles. To reach the parking structure, turn west into Exposition Park on 39th Street from Figueroa and follow the signs.
The movie we are watching is "Destiny In Space" and will be showing at 1:30 pm on Feb. 17. I called the center and was told that the movie is about 45 minutes long, afterwards we will go directly to the exhibit.
We will meet at noon in the area between the center and the IMAX theatre, underneath where the circular spheres are hanging from the skylight. I'll be wearing a black shirt with posters of old Mickey Mouse cartoons.
Also, per Frogberto's trip report about this event YOU ARE ALLOWED TO BRING CAMERAS! So feel free to bring yours along and snap away!
I look forward to getting together with you all this Saturday. If you have ANY further questions feel free to PM or call me.
