    Lightbulb April 22 - C.O.W. Sunrise Service?

This Sunday, April 22 offers a unique opportunity for us Disney geeks who would like to see the Park at an unusual hour with (hopefully) not so many people. Disneyland opens at 6:30 AM(!) and closes at 4:00 PM for a Special Event.

Now, this very special schedule is probably not well known amongst the Disney Muggle population and those who are in-the-know are probably sane enough NOT to be there at such an ungodly hour.

    But then there's me.

I am actually looking forward be being there at rope-drop with the sun barely up and more crows than humans in the Park. First stop - Peter Pan and Fantasyland before the nippers turn it into a complete madhouse. Storybookland in the AM is especially thrilling to us Duckzilla fans.

I also plan on getting Space Mtn. FastPasses (I assume they are still offering FP's - even with such a wacky schedule) and ride Indy and POTC and pretty much do my best Gumball Rally impersonation.

The noon C.O.W. Meet is still a must but I wondered if anyone wanted to join me in this lunatic endeavor? The more madman the merrier, I think.

After D-Land proverbially boots us out, we can then hop over to DCA and invade the Cove Bar and whatever else strikes our fancy. I imagine Heimlich being the fastest thing I will be able to tolerate at that point. But who knows? DCA closes at 11:00 PM, so that's a total of 16.5 Disney Hours for those lucky (or daft) enough to stay until the bitter end.

I will be in the picnic area - west of the security checkpoint - from 5:30 AM until 6:00 and head into the Park at that time. I apologize in advance if I do not recognize or mistake you for someone else (including long-dead relatives) at that hour of the day.

Get plenty of sleep until then and I hope to see you there!

Wow, this sounds like a lot of fun. Don't know if I can convince Anders to drag himself out of bed so early, but I think I'll try to persuade him.

We are coming back this weekend to renew our AP's and upgrade to Premium (yeah). We plan to be at the park at opening but not sure how long we can stay as we do have to drive back home Sunday.

Anders doesn't have to work Sunday, so Anders would love to go. He just needs plenty of Mountain Dew to wake him up.

Good golly man! Where's the I am crazy enough but live 21 hours away and therefore can't make it choice! I would so be there and would drag Tinkermonkey's tired self along for the ride. Sounds like fun, I'll be with you in spirit.

P.S. I give full permission to call TM at 6am!

The only reason I would ever be up at that hour is because I'm going to work ... but I have to admit that I'm tempted to go.

21 Hours? Hello!! According to google maps: 1,151 mi (about 17 hours 43 mins) so "astronaut up" and lets go!! You know I'll pack good snacks so we wouldn't even need to stop for food!
I love my awesome crazy wonderful friends!!

    You, good sir, are insane!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
