So, I'm not sure how many of you would be willing to make the trek to Downtown Los Angeles on a Saturday ... but here is an opportunity to get together and have some fun.
So here's the plan for August 11, 2007 from 2pm - whenever.
Bob Baker Marionette Theatre
1345 W. First Street
Los Angeles 90026
Yeah, it doesn't look impressive, but it offers a really great show. If you grew up in Los Angeles chances are you had a school field trip here. Two years ago, to my disbelief I found out that the show was still going, and make a trip for my birthday as a special treat.
Then after the show a nice dinner would be in the works, so I placed a poll to find out where the majority would be interested in going since there are so many great options in Downtown Los Angeles.
Home of the quaint Traxx Restaurant and Bar. Plus you can't beat the fantastic architecture throughout the building - inside and out!
There's a good selection of restaurants, and shopping as well. Las Golondrinas is a great place with freshly made tortillas for your meal.
One of my FAVORITE places to go for everything! Oiwake is the place to eat at though - featuring a buffet and karaoke!
One of the few places I haven't fully explored, so I'm open to suggestions as to where to eat at Chinatown.
Well I hope a good number of you will be able to make it, all I ask is that you bring yourselves and have fun!
