    Phoenix 4th of July Barbeque

My office is a landscape showroom with working displays. We have a swimming pool, putting green, splash pad, barbeques and much more. It's just a fun place to hang around. We are also located only about a mile and a half from the Peoria Sports Complex which does an ariel display of fireworks that I'm pretty sure we can see. So I figured why not do a potluck/barbeque on the 4th of July and swim and just have fun with other AZ MCers.

    Where:
    LandscapeMart
    8028 W. Thunderbird Rd.
    Peoria, AZ 85381
www.landscapemart.com (for more info and directions)

    When:
Friday, July 4th anytime after 6pm.

I will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, buns and soda (if you have a request for soda, let me know) and you bring a side dish to share.

    So far we have:
    DLandFansAZ, 4 people
pratt55, are the boys coming?, BBQ beans and potato salad
    Earkid, 2 people

So, let me know if you can make it, how many people are coming and what you are bringing.

We can bring chips and dip. I'll also get some decorations. Let me bring the paperplates, etc. so everything matches. I'm going to bring some adult beverages as well. Let me know if anyone has a request.

Some ideas for those trying to figure out what to bring:

    fruit platter
    veggie platter
condiments (ketchup, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, relish)
    side salads
    dessert stuff
So now it is confirmed, Carolynn said she will make a cake.

Yes, it is confirmed that I will bring the cake. Does anyone have a flavor preference? Is there any kind of sugar that anyone does not like? Let me know.

NOT LIKE SUGAR? Is that even possible. I like strawberry but will eat just about anything, except nuts.

How funny, I don't eat nuts in food either. Strawberry sounds good but then again Ms Thumper any cake you make will be good.

I am flexible. I will make strawberry, vanilla, and of course...chocolate. Hope this will be pleasing for every palate. Marc did not think of this, but we will also provide the fixings for the grilled items. Any special requests?

Wowee!!! This sounds so so fun!! We would love to meet you all and have a hot time in the old town that night!!!! We are totally heat whimps so what do you think the temp is at around 6pm or so ........ something like 120, 125???Just kidding! As our plans get figured out, we will let you know if we will be there. Is the Peoria sports complex where the football team plays??? I always get them mixed up. (sorry sports fans) Thanks to Earkid for the invite!

I would love it if my favorite Flagstaff cronie would show up. The Peoria Sports Complex is mainly for spring training games. The football team plays at Cardinal Stadium which is not that far way from the complex (about 5 miles). But the 4th of July party is an easy drive not far off the freeway experience so you don't even have to know the valley. The temp should be around low 90's by 6:00 but will feel cooler in the pool, jacuzzi and shade. So come on down!!
