Re: Big D23 Summer - List of Events and Contests!

Is the studio event sold out? If not, I'm in for $70. If it's sold out, I'll probably still sit this out.

The event times and registration have yet to be announced. So, you probably have time to register for D23 first.

Dates: Saturday, June 27, 2009 and Saturday, August 15, 2009
Location: The Walt Disney Studios, Burbank, California
    Time: TBA
    Tickets Available: June, TBD
    Cost: FREE!

Ticket reservation information will be available soon. Please check back here for updates.
And here's a link to the Disney Studios and Archives event so you can track when tickets become available (we'll try to keep track in this thread as well):

    Hope this helps!

It doesn't work very well if you live in Maine, but they just proved that it probably... in fact... is worth its money. If you live in California anyways.

    Hello-
I've been a lurker for awhile and this is my first reply, so please bear with me if I'm not doing it correctly.

In the matter of photos: as a Disney store cast member I've been fortunate enough to visit the studio and archives several times. The only time they did not allow us to take pictures was inside the sound stages. You could take as many photos outstside and of the archive displays as you wanted, in fact they encouraged it. Lots of cool stuff there. We were shown the actual mechanical bird that inspired Walt to do Audio-animatronics. It's over 100 years old and still works! We were also privileged to hold one of the Oscars that the company won for a True-Life Adventures movie. There are so many wonderful things to see there, I could go on, but this isn't the place.

My suggestion is take your camera and be sure to have back-up batteries! (just in case) You're gonna love it!

I'm so hoping I can go to the August studios tour!
That would just be the best!
