Actually, when you think about it, isn't trying to plow through all the Internet traffic to claim free tickets the "luck of the pixie dust" as well?
Getting tickets to a D23 event is no different than trying to be the tenth caller to get concert tickets from a radio station. The error message many of you got from the WDFM website was the same as the busy signal you got calling the radio station.
I've traded e-mails with Andi Wang regarding things other than the D23 preview and she's been fantastic. Very pleasant and very helpful. She's doing a great job with helping people interested in the museum and is clearly supported by a top-notch organization.
disneytim, I could not agree with you more about Andrea Wang. She is great.
I guess if you are going to run a non-profit museum dedicated to the ideals of Walt and his take on service then living those ideals is a great solution.
I am looking forward to my first visit.

I just got an email stating they were re-issuing the tickets and that the original barcode would be invalid, wonder why they're doing this.
I just received the same thing, as a museum member. Were your tickets issued under D23 membership, Carolwood Pacific, or the WDFM?
I noticed that my original tickets had 10 digit numbers, while the new tickets have 14 digit numbers. And the original tickets incorporated the first six digits of my I.D. membership number, while the new ones do not.
I have no idea why the tickets were reissued.

Either that or they had so many fraud/counterfeit problems that decided to reissue all new tix.
