The official "portrait" of the D23 Expo

I read about the guy who is the official artist for the Expo, so I had to check out his page, It sounds like quite the production of what he had to go thru. Apparently Disney/D23 gave him a list of things that had to be included in the art piece and sounds like he did it! He wasn't going to show the work ahead of time other than a little snippet. I checked Rogerson's August blog and it does show the finished piece and it's amazing!!!! I just hope he'll have inexpensive prints available.

Art of Tim Rogerson: August 2009

I meant to also comment to check out his video of the 3 week job done in 2 minutes-impressive!

I think this is the artist that is doing the limited release, daily t-shirts too.

The two minute video is really great, and so is Ryanvalle's drawing.

Wow, that's really cool. I hope they make enough prints so that everyone can afford a copy. I was looking through Tim Rogerson's other Disney art online, and most seemed to be print runs below 100, with prices above $500. I appreciate economics as much as the next Business major, but here's to hoping that the supply can keep up with the demand!

Um, well, I guess if you had to include a lot of stuff, there's ont much else you can do with it? It seems like such a mish mosh of stuff. Guess its not my taste lol It is neat to try to figure out what each piece is from.

There are lots of different types of prints that seem to accommodate every budget. Lowest price one is an unframed Litho for $50 with an edition size of 2500, so should be enough to go around. In total there 4026 different prints and editions on this. Plus I think we can expect the original in the Auction.

I just totaled up the retail cost the entire edition size and it comes out to $911,245!

Well, it's colorful. It's not bad, but not what I would have chosen.

Ryan, I like your donald!

I absolutely love it! I spent a good 5 minutes analyzing it and looking for all of the hidden things. I hope they sell a print of it at the Dream Store.

Here is the link to see all the variations you can get.

D23 Expo | The Official Community for Disney Fans

The cheapest is an 8.5 X 10 Lithograph for $50. I plan on getting one!

Re: The official "portrait" of the D23 Expo

They make no mention as to how to get one. I too would like to get one (I'd want the 16x12 canvas but that's out of budget), but unsure if ill make it to the expo.

I wonder if they'll make lithographs later on...
