I really hope that they extend the Princess and the Frog one to their NY shows.

Definitely a no on just showing up at the studios. You will need to make reservations some how (more details to come on September 17 @10am on that same site).

Chances are RSVP will be done online again like they did last time.

Re: D23 Fall Events Schedule

I'm really excited about the new slate of events and honestly, it all seems to match with the complaints that Mice Chatters had. So many people on here were upset that the free events sold out in record time and asked for Disney to charge to make it so the people who "truly want to attend" get to. I don't think $50 is steep to see The Princess and the Frog early and at the Walt Disney Studios. Especially since that is the regular admission price and you know there will be D23 extras that the general public won't have access to. I'm also happy to see more events taking place throughout the country, another complaint that was common on Mice Chat. I went to the Mary Poppins event in Chicago and it was fantastic! If any of you have the opportunity to attend one of the MAPO or Lion King events, do it. And I'm also psyched to see more events at Walt Disney World, another common complaint. It looks like they truly listen to us on here.

Since I am back at school, I don't know if I will get to attend any of the events this Fall, but they sound great! I look forward to reading trip reports from the lucky members who get to go.

Re: D23 Fall Events Schedule

I have a question for the locals out there. I'm flying in from LA and was wondering about how much the taxi fare would be from SFO to the Walt Disney Family Museum. If you have an estimate or any suggestions about transportation, I would love to hear it!! Thank you.

Re: D23 Fall Events Schedule

I am a new D23 member, and I cannot find the link to get tickets for the archives tour. The website says tickets are available today, but I cannot find where the member login is on the D23 page and the archives page has no links available. Please help.

Tickets Available: Thursday, September 17, 2009, 10am PST
There will be a link at about 10. Start checking a few minutes early and keep refreshing. The tickets will probably be gone in a few seconds. You will probably need your membership number.

Re: D23 Fall Events Schedule

Thanks for the replies, I was looking at the main page which just had the date and not the time.

The link didn't appear until about 10:01, I got in, put in my member number quickly picked the 10am show (noon was already sold out!), clicked enter and then found out both shows were already sold out...

Re: D23 Fall Events Schedule

I was waitlisted for 12pm tour. Anyone ever have any luck on the waitlist actually getting in?

Man those spots go fast!

Re: D23 Fall Events Schedule

Regarding the D23 Days at The Walt Disney Studios and Archives: November 7, 2009, I clicked instantly as soon as the link appeared on the D23 Website, but it was sold out within SECONDS, and gave the following message:

"Sold Out. We appreciate your interest in joining us for this event and hope that we will see you at one of our other D23 Member exclusive events. Thanks very much."

Update: Now, when someone clicks on the link from "Tickets: Click here for tickets," it says:
"Registration is closed at this time."

Another Update: The link is gone now and has been replaced with:
"Tickets: This event is sold out."

Re: D23 Fall Events Schedule

I had the same disappointing experience. Refreshed constantly until the link appeared. Clicked on the link. When the next window appeared it was sold out. Literally took one second.

Re: D23 Fall Events Schedule

Congratulations to those of you who got your tickets to the Archives tour. For those of you who didn't, I'm sure this event will continue to be offered in the future until the demand dies down (if that ever happens)

Re: D23 Fall Events Schedule

My thoughts:
I didnt get in, but am not upset about as this is what I expect. The question now is how to improve the system. I think a good way to do this is a club 33-esque wait list. In other words, I think there should be a long wait list members can sign up for and as tours are made, d23 should contact the people on the list. The member will have the option to accept or refuse the spot depending on their availablility and just go through the list slowly.
