The big news of the weekend thus far:

• Walt Disney World Fantasyland update and expansion has been approved
• WDW's Dumbo will have a "Play Area" instead of a queue - themed to a circus.
• The parks will become more interactive (This is the rumor Al had posted many months ago)
• Star Tours II in 3D confirmed for 2011
• Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is on the way "On Stranger Tides"
• New Muppet Film on the way "Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made"
• John Carter on Mars Trilogy
• Alaska cruise coming
• Disney Wonder cruise ship to relocate to West Coast
• Beatles Yellow Submarine 3D (Motion Capture) - by Robert Zemeckis
• No mention of Captain EO from Rasulo. Iger seemed to deny it. Al Lutz has it confirmed for January.
• Disney Store stated their "target" was 0-12 year olds.
• NEW animated Winnie the Pooh in classic style
• Relaunching Muppets - New TV show and movie - Halloween tv special. Build your own Muppet - "Whatnot Workshop"

Well considering its opening day and its early, thats not a bad turnout for something new. From what I've seen of what they have planned for this Expo, it looks like they have really gone to a lot of work and have a LOT for people to experience! If this is what they have for the inaugural year then next year should be spectacular!

well he denied Captain EO is coming back. Everything else was kind of expected stuff... re: marvel, etc.

Like in the middle of his speech he was like "hurrr oh btw we know it would be cool to bring back EO but we arent"

Regarding Captain EO, if Al is correct maybe that means that Jay couldn't find Tomorrowland after all. Honestly, it feels a lot like exploiting the dead guy and it may better be left in the vault for awhile. Or use it in next year's Disney Treasure series and bring back Gala Day at Disneyland as well as Disneyland Showtime. That would be cool.

oddly, there was no big news.

The ABC thing is going on in the arena now. Doesn't seem to be a big draw for the guests.

The Parks and Resorts pavilion seems to be most popular with the fans.

Crowds have not been crazy. Very enjoyable.
