Thanks for posting the schedule on when all of us going are supposed to get angry.

Personally, I'm like Sk8Leigh. I didn't expect or feel the need for a detailed schedule to be released, but I guess I'll go along with the Friday thingy to be like the other 1499 people.

    Re: Destination D - September 24 & 25, 2010 - at the Disneyland Resort

I'm thinking that the schedule will be a morning session, an afternoon session, and an evening session, each with a couple of panels. If the current lineup holds up, I expect Friday to go something like this.

9:00 am (ish... with an MC stalling for late arrivals): From Quirky to Collectable.

Probably go on until 10:15... then a 15-20 minute break to stretch you legs/get coffee/go to bathroom. Or if you want, feel free to hang out in the ballroom.

    10:30/45ish: Weird Disney

Around noon: Lunch Time! Eveybody out of the room. This is what is meant by the room being cleared without saving seats. See you all in 2 hours.

2:00: Mickey Mouse Club 55th Anniversary

    3:30: Another 15 minute break

    3:45: The 1964 World's Fair Presentation

    4:30: 15 minute break

4:45: Imagineering the Magic of Disney

At around 6:00 everyone leaves the room again for Dinner.

We all come back around 8:00 and around

8:30: E-Ticket: Music from the Disney Parks

And around 10:30 we all go away happy to our homes or hotel rooms.

So just basically assume to have two big breaks for lunch and dinner, and small breaks between certain panels/presentations.

I just want to point out that this is one participant's GUESS. This is NOT the actual schedule. To the best of my knowledge, the schedule hasn't been posted yet.

I know that some people are coming in specifically for this event. But a lot of us are locals who will need to schedule responsibilities (especiallyon Friday) around panels and events. Most fan conventions usually have the schedule--even if there are some last minute changes--posted a month or two in advance.

    Re: Destination D - September 24 & 25, 2010 - at the Disneyland Resort

I do want to add that I'm very grateful that people are organizing this event. Obviously, I'm looking forward to it as well. I know it's a lot of work. But even if the schedule isn't set in concrete, it would be important to post some schedule very, very soon, even if an event or two needs some last minute tweaking.

I also know that, aside from the Expo, this is the first multiday event at the Disneyland Hotel.

So, at this point, the important things to let people know are:

    (1) Schedule and times of events
    (2) Check-in times and procedures
    (3) Arrangements (and costs) for parking
    (4) Dress code, if any, for evening events
    (5) Other requirements, if any, such as no photography, no autographs, etc.
    (6) Optional arrangements, if any, for meals, such as breakfast and lunch (along with cost)

They did post that there was no video photography and no flash photography, so I'm guessing non flash photos are allowed.

I know. But there just needs to be an email to all attendees that basically says, here's exactly what we're doing, and when, and what you guys need to plan for.

Basically I'm just reserving my entire weekend and will be at their mercy. I suggest everyone else plan for the same.

I'm in the same boat of "I'm here both days from start to finish!" Actually I hope there is a bit of a break before the concert so I can go back to my hotel and freshen up and maybe gussy up my duds. Any reason to wear a tie is okay by me although I did forget to buy a new MM tie when I was there this weekend. D'oh!

    Should be a fun weekend!!

    Re: Destination D - September 24 & 25, 2010 - at the Disneyland Resort

    UPDATED (August 12, 2010) -

MORE STARS JOIN D23’S DESTINATION D CONCERT EVENT
‘E-TICKET: MUSIC FROM THE DISNEY PARKS’

Michael Urie (Ugly Betty), Tracie Thoms (Cold Case, Rent), and Barrett Foa (NCIS: Los Angeles) are joining a previously announced, all-star line up of performers, including Disney Legend Richard Sherman, Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty), Wilson Cruz (My So-Called Life), and John Tartaglia (Johnny and the Sprites).
This has now been updated. Looks like Barret Foa is out, and Melo-23 is in. From the D23 website: "Performing will be a host of special guests, including John Tartaglia (Avenue Q, Johnny and the Sprites), Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty), Wilson Cruz (Rent, My So-Called Life), Michael Urie (Ugly Betty), Tracie Thoms (Cold Case, Rent) and Melo-23, all paying tribute to some of the most enduring tunes in the Disney canon. "

    Unfortunately, I don't know who Melo-23 is.

Who or what is Melo-23? I don't even get anything on Google.

Barret Foa is the techie guy on NCIS: LA. I like him, but I didn't know he could sing.

That would be nice..we'll see what we get. It's getting pretty darn close (YAY) Bascially I don't really care what the actual schedule is, but I am meeting up with an old friend who is just happening to be at the resort at the same time, so would just like to know where a big enough break will happen so we can meet up.

Sounds like they might be still working on the schedule if they have been changing the concert participants today. Maybe that means the schedule will be posted soon

Over on DisneyGeek, it says that Tom Fitzgerald is going to give a presentation on Star Tours.

For all of the lucky D23 Micechatters attending Destination D, please report back for those of us who cannot go. We had our hearts set on going, finally were able to make arrangements to have the time off and make the trip out for the 2 days and almost had the financial situation under control...then the rug was pulled out from under us and the event was sold out.

Oh well C'est la vie....we shall live vicariously through fellow MCers.
