They didn't last time, and it was kind of a snoozefest. I thought it would be so entertaining, what with Betty White and all, but it was mostly just awkward acceptance speeches punctuated by the host's one-liners.

It's a different type of recipient this time -- younger singers instead of older actors (i.e. the Golden Girls). Maybe there will be some sort of sing-along or something. And you KNOW that Regis will be full of spirit.![]()
I'm really looking forward to seeing the Legends ceremony again - to have the chance to see so many people that have influenced my life up-close at once was something I'll never forget.
I actually though Betty White's acceptance speech last year was the highlight of the ceremony.
Me too! But it was sitting through everything else that was kind of a drag.

Yeah, Betty White was awesome. Robin Williams was pretty good, too, but Betty really did steal the show. Part of the problem last time was that many of the Legends recipients were passed on, so it was a lot of their next-of-kin accepting the awards in their place. This time there should be more winners present, comparatively.
But didn't the Princess and the Frog preview start out the Legends ceremony last time? And the gal who sang in the movie came out and sang a show from the movie.
