D23′s Backstage Pass: Burbank « Disney D23
Looks kind of cool. Too bad I've already done the tour.
D23 is taking two of our most popular events—tours of the Walt Disney Studios and Archives and our 50 and Fabulous screening series—and creating a magical weekend for our members! This special package will be available to members for TWO WEEKS ONLY. On March 29, 2012, the events will be sold separately.
Saturday afternoon, D23 Members (and their guests) will have the opportunity to see Walt Disney’s classic 1962 live-action adventure fantasy In Search of the Castaways at the historic Walt Disney Studios as part of D23′s ongoing 50 and Fabulous film series. In Search of the Castaways, based on the Jules Verne story “Captain Grant’s Children,” will be presented in the state-of-the-art, 400-seat, Studio Theatre. The film stars Disney movie favorite Hayley Mills and the irrepressible Maurice Chevalier.
With thrilling special photographic effects by Disney Legend Peter Ellenshaw get ready for big adventure on the high seas as Lord Glenarvan and his team set sail across the 37th parallel in search of Captain Grant, Skipper of the S.S. Brittania. Along the way, the crew—including Glenarvan’s son and daughter—encounter an earthquake, a flood, volcano eruption, angry natives, and a giant condor attack!
As a special treat, on Saturday morning, before the screening, D23 Members will be invited to some exclusive shopping time at Walt Disney Imagineering’s exclusive employee store, Mickey’s of Glendale!

Both events will feature a limited selection of D23 merchandise and a special gift just for each D23 Member who attends, as well as the opportunity to mix and mingle with your fellow D23 Members on the Studio Lot!
We will be hosting eight (8) tours on Sunday. Each tour can accommodate 25 participants.

They better check their facts before they sell more events, according to the Directors and Artists that created 'The Little Mermaid' they worked in warehouses in Glendale a few miles away from the studio. They made it back to Burbank studio adjacent a few years after the film's release:
