COST $225 per person and $1,000 per person for Diamond-level
    (see details below)
That's a bit too far on the expensive side for us. Might have to skip this one.

    Re: Destination D

The WDW 40th Destination D was $175, so $225 isn't bad if you ask me, and quite frankly that third day really intrigues me as someone who is mainly a Disney person because of the animation. For me, it's pretty much the holy grail (and I've done the D23-led Studio Tour in Burbank) and I may ante up the extra money. Heck, I was eying the Adventures by Disney tour of Southern California but the extra day would pretty much give me what I want and then some ... and it's much cheaper.

If this Destination D is anywhere near as good as the WDW 40th, it'll be a bargain. That $175 was money MUCH better spent than the fiasco that was the D23 Expo even at $85 per person which I paid.

Expensive is relative anyway. Is it cheap? No, but these are VERY different events than your average one. That's one of the reasons the Expo was so disappointing - the WDW Destination D was just so excellent.

This is the type of event I joined D23 for. I'll be there with proverbial bells and whistles. The Expo in 2013? Probably not.

I hope to get the Diamond package and yes, Sorcerer again next year. For me it is totally worth it..I live small except for these types of things and save all year for them. Really can't wait for the Alan Menken concert..just wow.
I think $225 is very reasonable..I think the venue last time was only about 1,000 people and was great..such amazing people and it isn't cheap to put one of these things on.

    Re: Destination D

I don't know the first Destination D was 125 if my memory serves me correct and while yes I did enjoy the first, a hundred dollar increase is no laughing matter. I also find it interesting that each Destination D the ticket price goes up 50 dollars. While I understand that this event will appeal to many and most likely will sell out. I for one will be voting with my dollar and not be attending.

    Re: Destination D

I was looking forward to Destination D, but after seeing the price seems a little too high for me. I'm a new member and between this and the studio tour I'd rather do the tour. If it was $175 or lower I would consider it. But between renewing my AP, going to the studio tour, and renewing my D23 (probably will go with a silver this time), I don't think I can afford dishing out the extra.

So instead I will turn to the free version, reports posted on MiceChat

I'm going for sure. Been too both prior Destination Ds and they were both very interesting and a lot of fun. They really do provide opportunities to see and hear about things not normally available to the regular public.

Only decision I have is if I will do the regular or the Diamond-level pacakge.

If you have the cash to spend on Diamond level... This should be fun.

I wonder if they will have another Great Disney Scavenger Hunt. The last one was so much fun!

Sigh...from $125 to $225 in just two years?? Disney is pushing my loyalty. Will I probably go, yes. But if I do, it had better be just about twice as fun as the first one.
