Join D23 Members from across the country at Walt Disney World Resort to celebrate the beauty of the season at D23′s annual Magic & Merriment event. Once again, we will be offering this D23 holiday tradition twice this year, on December 7 and 8 and again on December 9 and 10.
The first day of our holly jolly happening begins with coffee and tea inside World Showplace at Epcot, where guests will enjoy a collection of exclusive presentations celebrating the season, including some special gifts to keep the season bright.
Throughout the afternoon, guests are invited enjoy the holiday majesty of Epcot at their own pace—including our own private hospitality suite inside the American Adventure pavilion, with complimentary lemonade, coffee, and tea!—before rejoining the group at the America Gardens Theatre at sunset.
As you nestle into your reserved seat, sit back, snuggle up, and delight in the splendor of Walt Disney World’s perennial Christmas favorite, Candlelight Processional. This time-honored tradition of classic carols and hymns sung by a choir of hundreds will be hosted by actor Blair Underwood (for guests attending December 7) and former Desperate Housewives star James Denton (for guests attending December 9).
Following this special performance, guests will head to our private dessert party for VIP viewing of Epcot’s nighttime spectacular, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, featuring its traditional holiday finale.
Day Two brings us to the Magic Kingdom, dazzlingly decorated for the holidays, where guests will be treated to a hot breakfast before the gates of the kingdom open to the general public. Following breakfast, you’re invited to partake in a special Holiday Hunt through some of the park’s newest additions as well as beloved attractions. Keep a weathered eye out, as we’ll leave no tiki unturned during this fun hunt through the pixie dust of this very merry park.
That evening we will gather at the Premiere Theatre inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios to enjoy some classic holiday featurettes and Christmas shorts before heading to dinner at Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show, where guests will have the chance to get up close and personal with the elaborately designed Mediterranean village set while enjoying a sumptuous holiday meal including wine and beer.
After dinner, you’ll head over to the Streets of America for a private viewing of The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. This elaborate display launched at Walt Disney World in 1995 when Jennings Osborne and his family moved their ever-growing holiday lights display to the Vacation Kingdom of the World.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a D23 event without a few seasonal surprises to commemorate the weekend! Happy holidays from your friends at D23!
