Re: Let the adventures begin. Live action at the Walt Disney studios

Eh casting stuff is old news. I was hoping for something like a rehearsal video, talk about design, stuff like that.

I have to argue, though, that Into the Woods is a comedy. Or, at least, a tragedy in disguise (but that might be splitting hairs). It'll almost certainly be given the Disney treatment and cleaned up a bit--I'm not convinced Disney is trying to appeal to the theatre crowd, but rather the general public.

Meryl Streep is a great casting choice IMO because it'll bring people in the theatre. Bernadette Peters is only loved by theatre goers and maybe by those who saw Cinderella with Brandy.

The scene they showed from Maleficent, aside from the CG fairies, looks pretty badass.

3 time academy award winner, 17 time nominee Meryl Streep and you aren't excited? I know I am! And with Rob Marshall at the helm? Spells heaven to me! The Malifacent footage was awesome, but the Saving Mr. Banks footage? December cannot come fast enough!!!!!
