Re: Twilight Princess Impressions

Hmm, After seeing the reviews and everything about this game, I still haven't got my two questions answered. For those who have gotten far enough to answer these, It would help

No.1: Is it possible to change into Link in the Twilight World? And Also, Is it possible to change into Wolf Link in the Normal world at any given time?

No.2: How far in the game do you have to go until you reach the Master Sword? Is it based on the Ocarina of Time? Do you have to unlock the Temple of Time or is there even one at all?

I have been asking around different sites and such and haven't gotten the answers yet.

Haha, I guess waiting would be the best. Less than a week to go until it's time, THEN I shall know the truth.

Trust me: It will be worth the wait. I'm about to enter the final temple but I really dont want to because then that means my Zelda journey is almost over. I'm not ready to end it yet. ;-)

I beat it a week after it was released. Zorro, you're in for a great last level.

Re: Twilight Princess Impressions

I'll join in in admitting that puzzle in the Forest Temple confused me too. It took me an hour to do the temple. I spent 40 mintues just trying to figure that one out.

Re: Twilight Princess Impressions

I finally finished this game last week. I dont even have words to explain anymore how great this game was. That final boss fight was very well done and very fulfilling. In fact, I loved it so much I went back and did it again. I havent played since last Saturday but I'll be trying to tackle the "Cave of Ordeals" next. I hope that Nintendo gives us another Zelda game in a few years (2008 maybe?) But I kept thinking to myself as I played "How in the world are they going to top this?"

Its kind of funny isnt it? I mean you're expecting some complicated puzzle or far away switch you have to hit..but the answer is staring right at you the entire time.

Re: Twilight Princess Impressions

wow I started out ahead of most people playing the game on this thread and now i'm way behind (yeah I've been away from my house for quite a few weeks and before that was finals week but yeah)

I'm presently just before the sand temple I belive been doing alot of subquests though

Nintendo did say that the next Zelda console game would be arriving sooner then we expect but it'll probably be about two years at least

I'm hoping that next time around we see more items with true Wii control as well as better control of the sword

I'd also like to see the ability to select the hand preference (the mirrored thing was kinda weird)

and yeah the adventure was huge but Nintendo managed to keep it all on one GC disk which means that the game didn't come near using an entire Wii disk with the Wii's extra power they can polish up the graphics a bit more and increase the scope of the game even further but that'll take more time

I'm assuming though that since the Wii isn't hugly more powerful they won't need to reinvent the entire engine though which can be a good and bad thing really

it'll be interesting to see what they do though

last time they just reused an engine they created majora's mask which was basicaly a counterbalance to what Ocerina was

Re: Twilight Princess Impressions

If by counterbalance you mean a "suck" to Ocarinas "awesome" then yes I agree.

Re: Twilight Princess Impressions

I just completed the Forest Temple. So far it's awesome, I love it. I am no video game officianado though, so I have a feeling it will take me months to finish the game!

Spoiler

In the future, can we please use spoilers if anyone is giving any info on how to solve a puzzle?

no it didn't suck

alot of people that carefully analyze these things have noticed though that the differences between Majora's Mask an Ocerina seem to be mostly that Majora had a more limited scope with more detail while Ocerina seemed to have less detail then Majora but a larger scope

basicaly the system could only do so much so Majora had to make scope sacrifices in order to put in more detail per square inch then ocerina

of course the other differences are things like how Majora used different creatures natrual abilities rather then Ocerina with it's multiple types of items (and I think that we all agree Zelda should be more about the items then about transformations though TP uses transformations in a much more limited and effective way)

it'll be interesting to see what philosophy Nintendo goes through with the next Zelda game

maybe they'll try for something more open ended even?

Re: Twilight Princess Impressions

well- we now own Twilight Princess for the GC- I'm happy to say.

I would rather have spent the $$ on it now-rather than try to justify $300 for the Wii and game.

So I is happy- working my way through the beginning of the game.....so far so good.

It was awful. I couldn't STAND how time kept going backwards and resetting...ugh. But that is just my opinion..I don't think I even spent 2 hours on it..I probably should have before I create an opinion. I'll admit that.

Yes me to, which I why I just bought mine recently for GC

Ok I have a question. Like I said, I just got Twilight Princess but should I play Wind Waker first? Is there a story line that should be followed? I've been out of gaming for a while and loved the Zelda games which is why I'm clueless.
