I thought it was easy at first also. I think it gets harder. I am currently in the Water Temple and it's hard for me. But I am not a seasoned game player at all, so I could just be a gaming wimp.

No offense meant- I guarantee you I have logged hundreds more hours than you have

Hell, spent more than 100 on FFXII alone in the last few months.

Tha hardest part about the water temple is getting through the rooms- the battles themselves are not- that's my main gripe.

I now own the game but NOT the Game Cube! That was bad timing on my part...darned Ebay!

We had rented the game because I wasn't sure if it was something Josh could play. Not the violence aspect, but the controls. He can and were loving it. Just bought it yesterday. I logged about 6 hours on the rental and now I'll be more inclined to play more since I don't have to worry about getting all into it then not being able to finish.

I'm stuck

I know what I have to do, I just can't do it.

I'm in the Forest Temple. Trying to get the last monkey. Trying to get up the vine with the big boulder in the way. I know I have to get the exploding bug with my boomerang and then throw it and blow up the boulder. I just can't do it.

Anybody remember if there is any good spot to throw it from???

Is that the one where you're in a little alcove? You just have to stand near the front of the ledge, target the boomerang on the bomb monster, and then I think for the second target, do it on yourself? Or near yourself? That way it will automatically be in your hands. Then toss the damn thing.

If the bomb keeps smashing on the wall, keep moving towards the far end of the alcove by the front.

Unless you mean someplace else entirely, in which case, if you can't figure it out, I can look it up in my hint book.

^ That's the spot. I have no trouble getting the bomb, it's getting it up to blow up the boulder that I'm having trouble with.

You just need to have it raised above your head, walk towards the boulder, and throw. Whats happening when you throw it?

Or, alternately, if that aint working, what about just walking with the bomb over your head and getting blown up with the bomb and the boulder? It'll take off some energy, but it shouldn't kill you.

It's not making up the cliff, it always falls short. I've tried just keeping it above my head, but that doesn't seem to work.

I've already tried like 50 times and I can't seem to get it. This is the first time in the game where I've been stuck, and I know I have so much more to go.

grab the bug (I assume you have blown up the critter that swallows you between the bridge and the cliff)- run towards the gap and throw as you jump-

Clinks, you know how to multi-target with the boomerang right?

And you're talking about the room where most of it is flooded, and there's a bomb appearing on the left side (from where you enter the room), on the right there's one of those monsters that can only be destroyed by swallowing a bomb (and a key behind him), and then there's a little alcove straight in front of you, and inside the alcove is a boulder (and a few chompy flower monsters)?

I had problems because every time I would try and use the boomerang to break that boulder, the boomerang would smash the bomb on the wall before I was ever able to get it. But it doesn't sound like that's the problem you're having.

So your saying I can multi-target the boomerang to pick up the bomb and then hit the rock at the same time???

I know how to mutli-target but didn't know I could do it there. I keep bringing the bomb to me and trying to throw it at the boulder.

I got everything else in that room including the key already.

..and if you are in the flooded room with the boulder and the bomb you use your boomerang to get the bomb into your hands- then place it by the boulder. No jumping involved- target the bomb, and it will come to you.

A skill you need for the final battle-

You should have plenty of time- stand at the ledge- target the bomb bug- it comes into your hands turn around and put it by the boulder-

Ok, Now I can officially post!

I have started it. I just started so I'm the wolf right now trying to get out of the castle. I have already talked to Zelda and that was the last I've done.

My thoughts:

I was SO happy to hear the old song return and to see Epona. I was almost in tears. Yes, I know, I'm silly but I don't care. My love for these characters is great.

I don't like playing as the wolf though. I just don't like the moves or that silly thing that is telling me what to do, that alien looking little imp with the red ponytail!

Anyway, like I said I'm not far. I'll get farther when I get a chance to get back on it again. It will be slow going though and I predict, because of my time schedule, that this game will take well over a year for me to finish if not longer. I have looked through the Prima Game Guide and it is over 430 pages long and kinda hard to follow, meaning it's complicated. Whew! We shall see how I progress!

Clinks it sounds like you got it already but you do have to multi target the boulder, that's the only way I found.
