Free 2GB Remote Storage on your PSP

Sony Japan has released the 2.0 upgrade for Japanese PSP users. As some of you know, one of the features of the upgrade is an official web browser, allowing you to access the internet through wireless connections.

A Japanese user has discovered that you can use a Gmail account as a way to store up to 2GB of information.

What does that mean? Well you can store movies, game saves, photos, magazines, and anything else you want to use on your psp on your Gmail account, and then access them from your PSP. Pretty cool.

The U.S. version of the 2.0 upgrade will be released sometime next week however. Supposedly, the U.S. version will be a sort of 2.1. in that it will remedy whatever problems that may come up in the Japanese upgrade.

I'm still waiting until The Sims 2 comes out for PSP to buy one. However, all this news is fun to read! Can't wait to get my PSP.

I tried it at E3 and it's a bit different than the Sims 2 on PC and consoles, mainly because you control your character directly.

The graphics were CLEAN though. Very surprising to me for such a small unit.

Yes. It's more like the current Console versions, where you have an actual story. While I enjoy the open-ended play of the PC version, I'm looking forward to a actual story. I've actually seen the other console versions in work, and the XBox version looks so much like the PC version, it's insane. Looks like if you want a story this time around, you head for the handhelds.

Do you need to pay a service to browse? How do you do it? Sorry for the dumb questions, this is just too cool!
