Re: Tinker Bell DVD

I'm still in the mode that direct to video/dvd with Disney ain't all that. And I haven't heard of anyone who says "You have to see this movie". Although Disney isn't marketing this movie to my demographic, (and they aren't marketing toward my demographic with High School Musical 3, either) I'm going to sit this one out.

It's really too bad, because Disney movies used to have a lot more appeal. But they burned me one too many times. Not even Beverly Hills Chihuahua brought me to the theater.

Re: Tinker Bell DVD

Tinker Bell is par for the course for direct-to-DVD. I wasn't impressed for all the time and talent that went into it. I posted my review last week:

Lasseter's Pixie Dust Can't Make 'Tinker Bell' Fly

Re: Tinker Bell DVD

We just bought and saw it today. My son has been asking for it ever since he saw it advertised during the Sleeping Beauty previews. I found it terribly dull-exactly what I would expect for a direct to DVD movie, but my son liked it. If Disney was looking to appeal to the toddler set, it worked.

Re: Tinker Bell DVD

My daughter really enjoyed it, we've been reading the books for awhile now and she enjoyed it just as much as the books. The first time she saw Vidia she said "Ewww it's Vidia" who lived up to her snottiness just as much as in the books.
