Walt Disney Classics @ Home

What Walt Disney Classics do you own at home? VHS, Laser Disc, DVD? I found out I might have to wait until 2008 (!) to see The Little Mermaid in all it's glory on SE DVD! I also missed the release of the BatB SE DVD, so I'm screwed there as well...

I have
VHS
Beauty and the Beast
Pete's Dragon (is that a Classic?)
Pinocchio
The Aristocats
Bambi
Toy Story 2 (I don't think that is a Classic)
The Jungle Book

DVD
SE Mulan
Finding Nemo (I don't think that is a Classic)

I lost my VHS of TLM a few years ago. I do miss it

Not necessarily... check eBay or Half.com... Just make sure that the disc you bid on or purchase is the Region 1 TWO-Disc version.. there seem to be a lot of Asian bootlegs out there, but the official US release can be had for not much more than the original retail price.

Also, don't despair on "The Little Mermaid". According to the insert in the new "Cinderella" DVD, "Mermaid" is set for a Platinum Edition DVD in October of '06. So... just a year away!

Re: Walt Disney Classics @ Home

My mom has a few of the old VHS Box sets. Sadly, I got my hands on them so they aren't in 100% condition. Mostly everthing is there minus the actual VHS of the movie.

I haven't watched so many of these is ages, so I can't remember exactly what we do have here.

Re: Walt Disney Classics @ Home

I have almost all of the Feature Animation titles that have been realeased on disc except for "Oliver & Company" and "Pocahontas".

Which reminds me... I've been meaning to pick up the "Pocahontas" 2-disc set.

Re: Walt Disney Classics @ Home

Platinum Edition DVD-wise it's Lady & The Tramp in March, Little Mermaid in Oct 06, Jungle Book March 07 and 101 Dalmatians in Oct 07.

I recently sold my VHS copies of Aladdin, Beauty & The Beast, Pinocchio and Lion King as I bought the DVDs. (Still holding on to Little Mermaid tho...)

Re: Walt Disney Classics @ Home

I have a lot on DVD but for some reason the two that I bought last year that I have yet to watch are Alice in Wonderland and Aladdin. I wanted Alice for the classic "Disneyland" show material and I bought Aladdin because I liked its cover LOL.

Re: Walt Disney Classics @ Home

I have so many on VHS. I still have the Little Mermaid on VHS. I also have the movie poster before they fixed them. I really should go through them and count to see how many I really have.
