Disney Mobile

Any one sign up for this service yet? Saw the price of the phone ($59.00) with a two year contract, but couldn't find the monthly price of the service. Also, curious on how well the service works, I'm on Verizon now, with very few problems. Would like to put the Wolfpack on this, but need some micechatters views first. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Disney Mobile

Disney Mobile is only in thier friendly launch right now, you probably won't find anyone actually reviewing them until at least summer when they really launch thier service.

As for coverage, they are using the sprint system, so thier coverage would be the same as sprint in your area

T-Mobile has a few Disney stuff. I have the Fantasmic ringtone and there are a few other Disneyland ride soundtracks available too.

Unless you have a Sidekick II (Danger Hiptop) then the only thing you have is the sorceress apprentice....

As if the CDMA network wasn't bad enough, now we have to deal with hitchhikers >_<;;;

I will say, it's a nice solid network for data transfers.

Wolfy -

You might get some idea by looking at ESPN Mobile, which I would assume would be at least somewhat similar because it's coming from the same place. ESPN mobile has been out there for several months now and has been very heavily promoted.

Obviously it will have different (sports-related) content.

The phones are pricier, I think...you can look at them at Best Buy...

Here is one review I found that that is extremely enthusiastic..

http://laptopmag.com/review/sanyo-mvp-mobile-espn.htm

It's a little rich for my blood right now but otherwise it seems great for sports fans.

And it might give you at least some idea about Disney Mobile -

hope this helps

Re: Disney Mobile

Disney Mobile launched this week with service plans starting from $39.99/month to $249.99/month. Disney promises a "family friendly" service that allows parents the ability to limit when and for how long their kids use the phone through Disney Mobile's online Family Center. They also offer a GPS service so you can locate your kids' phones (and hopefully your kids) at any time.

There's more info at www.disneymobile.com.

Given the control and tracking features that Disney Mobile offers, is this a service you think you'd use? Are you planning or have you already switched over to Disney Mobile?

Re: Disney Mobile

at the risk of getting one of those beating a dead horse images posted, could anyone that has this let us know more about it. Our phone is for all intents and purposes dead and needs to be replaced. I've seen stuff on the website and about the themes and the vault Disney, but I want some feedback here.
