Disney's greatest sports film

The latest entry into this vast pool is 'Invincible':

From the studio that brought you "The Rookie" and "Remember The Titans" comes INVINCIBLE, inspired by the true story of Vince Papale (MARK WAHLBERG), a man with nothing to lose who ignored the staggering odds and made his dream come true. When the coach (GREG KINNEAR) of Papale's beloved hometown football team hosted an unprecedented open tryout, the public consensus was that it was a waste of time -- no one good enough to play professional football was going to be found this way. Certainly no one like Papale -- a down-on-his-luck, 30 year-old, substitute teacher and part-time bartender who never even played college football. But against these odds, Papale made the team and soon found himself living every fan's fantasy -- moving from his cheap seats in the upper deck to standing on the field as a professional football player.
INVINCIBLE opens nationwide on August 25th and is rated PG.

What's your choice?
I'd say 'The Rookie' starring Dennis Quaid

I loved Angels in the Outfield... one of the best remakes ever made, too.

Remember the Titans, hand down, for me. I've seen that movie so many times and even watched it while in labor with my youngest daughter. Now, we watch it every year on her birthday.

I concur, that's the best...

Second would be "Miracle", which I found to be surprisingly good and not an overly overdramatic, sugary version of events that many of us remembered...

3) Angels - love the Angels, love Christopher Lloyd - but a fine point - footage of most Angel home games was filmed at a stadium that strangely resembled the Oakland Coliseum... I guess only a real geek would notice things like that...

Or somebody that has been to Anaheim to see the stadium.

This was not the last time they did something like this... Yellowstone of Meet the Deedles (a true Disney guilty pleasure) looks nothing like the real Yellowstone.

Remember the Titans was a great movie. I liked it because it was more than just a sports movie.
