Save Our Anaheim Resort District - Sign Petition At Tomorrow's Community Picnic Day

SOAR (Save Our Anaheim Resort) is an organization that is affiliated with the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce. It is solidly behind the effort to protect the Disneyland Resort area from non-tourism related development within the boundaries of the Anaheim Resort Area.

If you are registered to vote and reside in Anaheim, this is an opportunity to become proactively envolved in the process. A petition to protect the tourist resort area from residential encroachment and blight will be circulated tomorrow, during Community Picnic Day. The event will take place at three different city parks from 10am to 4pm (Saturday, May 19th).

The names and addresses of the three parks are as follows -

1) Central Anaheim Pearson Park 400 N. Harbour Blvd. (Hosts: Gail Eastman and Cynthia Ward)

2) West Anaheim Twila Reid Park 3100 W. Orange (Hosts: Frank and sally Feldhaus)

3) Anaheim Hills Peralta Park 115 N. Pinney Drive (Hosts: Todd Ament and Shirley McCracken)

Nice! Pity I don't live in Anaheim, I'd be behind that.

In the event that you miss tomorrow, you should contact SOAR (the group responsible for creating and handling the petition). There phone numbe is 714-400-0734. Their email address is info@soaranaheim.com. Their postal address is - S.O.A.R. PO Box 9049 Anaheim, CA 92812
