The Pirates of Castaway Cay One day, Pirate Tink found a tattered, old map on a beach. She gave the map to her friend Pirate Mickey who examined the map for clues. They soon realized the map lead to the legendary treasure of Castaway Cay. Magnificent riches awaited for anyone who found this lost island somewhere in the ocean. Having only one piece of the map, Pirate Mickey assembled his crew to search for the missing pieces. Unbeknownst to them, the other pieces had ended up in the hands of some unscrupulous pirates - Goofy, Stitch and Donald Duck. While visiting a small village, Pirate Mickey learned of the other pirates' plans to find the treasure first. Understanding that all pirates desire treasure, he called a historic meeting of pirates. A legendary deal was struck as they agreed to search for the treasure together. All they needed was a fast ship to take them to their destination. Luckily, a wondrous ship had recently docked in the port town of Canaveral. While most of the ship's crew was away, the pirates commandeered the ship. Striking pirate colors, they quickly set sail to the island of Castaway Cay. After braving the mighty ocean for two days, the pirates eyed the magical isle. The treasure was almost within their reach. Once docked, the band of pirates set out to find their riches. Pirates Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Stitch found beautiful treasure chests of gold, while Pirate Pluto found a chest of dog bones. Poor Donald only found sand. His pirate henchmen, Chip and Dale, were more lucky - they were granted a treasure chest filled with acorns. Their adventure complete, the world famous Disney Characters enjoyed a beautiful day on the enchanted island. Based on the story above, Disney Design Group Artists Monty Maldovan and Tyler Dumas created the spectacular collection of Limited Edition pins for this pirate-themed pin cruise. Monty and Tyler will be sailing on the Disney Wonder® Ship, so Guests will have an opportunity to meet these talented Disney artists.
