    Die-Cast Attractions/Theme Park Collection

Anyone here knowledgeable on the Die-Cast Attraction Vehicle line? Any easy way to find out what is still available at the park and what is retired? Do they still make these? Is DelivEARs the best way? Do I have to go through both DL and WDW? I've been watching these for years on ebay and may finally take the plunge and get some--though it may be dangerous to start collecting yet another Disney line

I thank anyone in advance for any information (though my wallet may not be as thankful).

I haven't seen them since 2005, so they are probably discontinued. I don't know why though, they are some of the best souvenirs I've gotten from the parks. Now I have to concentrate on Disney Racers.

Most of them have been retired. The only one that I see in the shops at Disneyland is the Buzz Lightyear one. I love these and wish I was able to get them all before they disappeared.

I loved the attraction vehicle line, too! They were such a perfect merchandise item for DL and WDW. I was hoping that they would issue one for Toy Story Midway Mania, but I haven't seen one yet.

There is another set of toy cars that DL has been carrying for a couple of years. They are called "Disney Racers" and are designed to look like various Disney Characters. (These are similar to Disney Wild Racers that used to be carried at Toy R Us, a couple years ago.) DL does have some of the main character cars like Mickey, Donald, Pluto, and have even included Mr Incredible, the Alien from Toy Story. The most recent ones I've seen added are Nemo and Bruce from Finding Nemo, and a Haunted Mansion Ghost car. They are $4.95 each. Last year they came out with a Pirates of the Carribean set of 4, which included Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones, The Kraken, and a Pirate Skeleton. I did see the set of 4 at the Character Warehouse store on Harbor and Orangethorpe, about a month ago.

Dr G, there is a cool little web site with a picture of the entire collection. I was lucky enough to aquire the entire collection during 2004 - 2006. Check this site out:

    http://users.icnet.net/~robertb/danadis.htm

The site helped me to know what was in the collection. I don't know who made up the site but it is a cool one. Good luck, they are so great, I wish Disney would do them again.

Coheteboy, thanks for posting those cool pictures. I have seen a couple of those on ebay and wondered about them. I have the older collection of the attraction vehicles where they are all individually packaged and a little bit bigger. Well now after seeing those, darn it, I will have to be calling WDW to order those too, I mean I do want my collection to be completely complete. THANK you for the pictures and information.

These are the only ones still available I believe, and maybe the CTX Rover from the Animal Kingdom. I have a bunch of them, but not all (mostly WDW). I am actually upset that I didn't get more of the Fantasyland ones, especially from Disneyland . Also, there were 2 versions of the Big Thunder Mountain train. The first printing (the one I have) spells "I.M. Fearles" When I checked the following year, they corrected it. Also, if you REALLY want to be a completist, they do change the color of the monorail every so often.

You're very welcome. I'll try and get to what else I have. The guide is helpful but bigger photos are too.

The monorail above is Monorail red and does say 'disneyland' on it despite being in a very WDW box.

Sadly the only one I have left is Dumbo. I gave the rest to a former friend's kid! Now I wish I hadn't done it! Hindsight and all!

    Re: Die-Cast Attractions/Theme Park Collection

Alrighty! I took pics of what I have. Hope it helps!

Let's start with the ones that are Specifically disneyland (not many)

    Matterhorn Bobsleds

Superstar Limo (i bought this one as soon as I heard the attraction was closing)

And that's all I was able to find! I missed out on all the fantasyland vehicles.

Here's the WDW specific but could be used for both:
    Splash Mountain

    Mad Tea Party

    Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

And now a look at the WDW specific items...
    Star Wars Parade Vehicle

    Rio Del Tiempo

    Countdown to Extinction (Dinosaur)

    Eastern Star Railroad Train

    Rock n Roller Coaster

    Test Track small 1/64

    Test Track larger 1/24

    And that's all I gots!

I am SO mad. I was watching 2 on Ebay this week and while I was at work, they ended. I was going to bid on them. I got Buzz on Ebay.
