Tracking down the Hot Wheels Ecto 1 has been tough, as I imagined it would be.

Ebay is not an option because I refuse to contribute to the Meg Whitman campaign fund so I just have to hope that I can beat all the local Hot Wheelers.

I feel the same way. Except I really do not want to contribute to the scalpers.

It is a regular release, eventually it will be easier to find. There is just a lot of demand right now. I will say that all 4 stores in my area got some more Hot Wheels in, but no Ecto 1s to be found.

I just saw photos of one of the worst Hasbro figures in recent years - Marvel Universe Mary Jane.

It's not worth linking to the photo so you'll just have to take my word for it. Head is too small and using the regular MU female body makes that even more glaring.

    Good morning, son

Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

There's a large 25 and a small 44 underneath it. And then on the right hand side, there's a orange yellowish stripe going down the package and it says "Ghostbusters Ecto 1" in black font.

    Coheteboy,

Burbank TRU had the EU wave today (of course I wasn't there) and Los Feliz TRU had it either yesterday or the day before (once again, I was not there).

Yeah I missed the EU wave at my TRU. I did get the Bespin guard, but none of the EU figures. They obviously need more as they are not meeting demand.

    Re: Toy Collecting Chit-Chat thread.

I haven't visited my local TRU in awhile and now I remember why. Hoping to get lucky with the SW EU wave, I thought I'd drop in. Well, the pegs are full of Yarna d'al' Gargan figures and a couple of Clone Wars figures - think the Mace Windu wave. I think that came out awhile ago. So I checked out the Hot Wheels section looking for Ecto-1 for everyone - I never realized how many Hot Wheels were out there! There was a whole aisle of them! Anyway, no luck on Ecto-1 I wanted to see if we had any Pook-a-looz since I need to cross the border for the nearest Disney Store (which is an outlet and has not carried Pook-a-looz as of yet). No luck - except I did end up down an aisle of motion-activated dolls that were just pain scary. I love Canada but their toy distribution is just plain terrible!

I'll keep an eye out for Ecto-1 though for everyone - maybe I'll get lucky.
