$40 There was one Donald left.
Got the Spain "it's a small world" piece, my first WDCC piece ever and i'm impressed! Only $15? I will most certainly be back to buy some of the other 8 pieces I found!! What IASW pieces have you all found? Please let me know if you found any besides: Spain, Belgium, Egypt, China, England, Arctic, Brazil, Australia, and Native American.
Thanks and Good Luck!
We have the Eskimo, the Irish, the hippo and the little girl with the sheep. I think we saw one more too.
I went to T.J. Maxx today and saw same, I got Woodlore and Humphery (my second favorite Disney cartoon, behind "The Grasshopper and the Ants"). I saw some other ones like Pete ($70 or $80 I forgot).
I'll have to travel to another marshall's around here and check for the Ireland one and the Hippo, I bought all the ones I listed above except for Belgium and North Pole. I'm VERY impressed with them, and they all work so well together. I'm really hoping to happen upon Mexico, Italy, France, Germany, or Scotland... I'm not sure how they are determining which pieces to put out...
All the TJ Maxx's and Marshalls here in the Bay Area are sold out.
I've been to 4 Marshall's and 2 TJ Maxx...es around here and haven't found any more IASW figures than I posted. I'm still looking for that Ireland and Hippo...bought the Belgium and i'm going to get the North Pole if it doesn't snow too much tomorrow. I figure it's definitely worth driving around for because I know i'm gonna end up paying $50 or so for each figure (Disney Store) that I don't find...
After several trips to Portland area stores, I was able to pick up what I wanted:
Both Nemo background pieces
I have one question regarding the Nemo set. I know that Nemo and Gurgle was a club piece, but was there ever a Peach or Deb/Flo. I haven't found them anywhere online, so I assume they were not made.
If you live in the Portland area, hit the new Marshall's by the airport. They had the motherload today and the store was very good with the boxes and certificates. No Small World pieces though.
Hey, Mr Yoyo,
Thanks again for starting up this topic, and it was nice to see you and your significant other at the meets last weekend!
I, too, would like too say thanks for starting this thread! It got me about $900 worth of it's a small world pieces for $135, and without this thread i'd have had absolutely no idea they were even in the stores!
Edit: Leaving friday to visit my brother in college... and there just happens to be 3 TJ Maxx on the way there... hehe.
Kind of off topic, but I just drove down about an hour to a T.J. Maxx who said they had quite a few. I am really looking for a Pete (Ornery Outlaw, as I saw one, but it was missing the papers, although it was in a box). Anywa,y, I saw a Mickey from mickey and the beanstalk, and was going to get it, but it was $40, and instead I got two IASW items, the spain and ( the one with the Goose, cant remember country) for $30 total. My question is, is there any reason why these IASW are so much cheaper? Is it just a different collection? Lower quality? Less demand? I am just wondering, though I kind of like these two little guys better than the Mouse anyway!
I think the IASW prices are cheaper because it's a different collection, or maybe they have an excess of them. I bought 10 of the IASW pieces so far (Just got USA yesterday!!!...and the country with the goose is Belgium) and I may not know the exact reason they are cheaper, but I know it's N O T. because they are low quality. I am actually VERY impressed with the quality of the IASW pieces. They are beautiful, and are worthy of representing a classic attraction like IASW.
I just hope I can find more, because I know I'll have to get them all eventually, and I absolutely hate the idea of paying inflated prices on ebay when I know that with a little hunting I can get them for $15 each.
I just ask that if anyone finds pieces that I didn't mention on my previous posts that they post them on here. I'd really appriciate it, because it helps me figure out which are still out there, which are "worth" paying full price for, etc.
