Re: The Recent Toy Acquisition(s) Thread II

I went out looking for Walmart's Avengers 6" figures but found only this at two stores

However, I did complete my movie Avengers minimates lineup and will have photos of that soon.

In the meantime, here are The Dark Knight Rises Movie Masters Bane and Alfred

You're lucky, Brand. I think the Dark Knight Rises toys have a street date of May 27th or something like that.

Well if I were really, really lucky, I would have found those WM 6" Avengers which might possibly just one case per store. But yeah, street date for TDKR is May 27 or 28. I found those on the pegs too so it's not like I asked for them.

Well if you find more than one of those Avengers, think of me and I'll do the same if I see them.

Sure thing! IM is just a "battle damage" repaint of a figure I already have (and which you probably own as well) so I'll pass on him.

back to the acquisitions, here are Avengers minimates Maria Hill and the SHIELD off roader from the Lego Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape set

I'll have to reshoot this in an outdoor setting sometime but here is the completed Avengers movie minimates team

    Pretty hefty haul...

I bought this just to do some head swapping

Did a little body swapping for Sgt Slaughter. Skin tone not right but... decent.

    And lastly... from Cars Land

These are just toys. Sometimes they'll release things that have nothing to do with the movie just to have something on the shelf.

Universal Studios exclusive deluxe Evac reporting for duty

here we have Evac in vehicle mode as I attempt to recreate a scene from the Transformers 3D ride

Posting in this thread by phone is incredibly difficult so I'll have to share my other acquisitions another time.

Wow! Those Carsland toys have officially jumped to the top of my covet list! How much are they each? I'm assuming they'll have a lot of them? If someone wants to make day and get me a set I'll happily pay. I'll also watch ebay for reasonably-priced auctions. Otherwise, we currently have a trip planned for October if my wife's health allows it and I can hope for them then!

On a side note, I really haven't posted much in the Collecting section lately, but I have been collecting. I FINALLY finished a complete loose set of the Palisades Muppets line including exclusives etc! I'll have to get pics posted sometime. It looks pretty cool

There will be plenty. I'm sure there might be initial popularity and sell-outs, but they will be plentiful in the long run. They're $6.95 each so not on the cheap side.

New toys. First a couple from Coheteboy. Daisy Duck as Aurra Sing.

And Huey, Dewey and Louie as Jawas.

Then I found more vintage collection Star Wars.

    Dr. Evanzen.

    Hoth Luke.

And a realistic version of Clone Wars Anakin.

Congrats on completing that Palisades Muppets set, Dr. G!

More stuff that I bought recently...

Who says there's no Agent Coulson toys?

So I made a visit to the Disney Soda Fountain to pick up a pin for Melonballer (which I got for you successfully, MB) and saw this Marvel Select movie Captain America for only $12

That containment structure for the Tesseract comes in handy

Some of the GI Joe Retaliation figures that I got
