I think he was pretty easy to transfomer at first I did have a little trouble getting his lower part to transform but over all I really like this guy. Can't wait until Hasbro brings out Sideswipe and Soundwave so I can get them cheaper then what I pay for Red Alert.
Pretty sure the states will get Soundwave but I'm not sure about Sideswipe. They might need a license from lamborghini or something.
shockwave and his dog were some of the coolest original transformers.. my favorite :) Should I pull them out of storage?
I don't like how brands keep dilluting their product image with all these cheaper versions.. it just confuses the customer when they think 'if I buy brand X, its good' and then they get the crappy version. The customer won't differentiate between 'oh, it needs to be brand X, model Y' - they'll just discount all of brand X based on their poor experience. All the low-end variants flooding the market just add confusion. I wish the vendors would get that and instead if you want to introduce a cheaper version.. differentiate it better.
I'm pretty sure they will send Japan had to get the license to do Sideswipe and Red Alert. Infact if I recall Lamborghini had a hand of creating both of them.Quote:

Soundwave and Ravage is what you're referring to right? the cassette player and cassette. Well... the masterpiece version is up for pre-order but I'll wait for an American release. It'll be cheaper.
But Shockwave (also purple) was another favorite of mine as well.
I really wanted the Startours speeder when I was in Startrader this past week. Even tho I have no actual use for it at all.. it was just cool and convinced myself for $30-$40 I would buy it just for fun. Then saw the $75 price tag... no way. Had to pass.
But I did buy a '..send in the wookie' shirt.. and vader+mickey stocking cap because it was so freakin cold in DLR at night this week.
My R2D2 Lego is almost done building.. pretty cool set.

Unfortunately in my area at the time.. transformers were so scarce you never got to buy what you wanted - you could only buy what was available.. and that was like a rumor that a store had some and you ran there. Crazy scarce when it was just the diecast cars. My friend had optimus and several of the diecast cars (and Megatron) so I got to play with them that way :)
Because of that tho.. I tend to have lots of other transformer-like toys that weren't real transformers from the era too. Apparently many of them are GoBots.. including the Command Center :)
I bought all the hobbit Lego sets so that I could get all the dwarfs. I am slowly building them all but eventually I am only going to keep bilbos house and the 13 dwarfs.
