Toy Fair 2011

Well here we are again. It is time for 2011's Toy Fair in New York. The annual event will be starting this weekend and going through Wednesday of next week. So here is the thread to post links to cool pictures or news and to discuss what we are seeing.

Aint it Cool News already has some pictures of the Transformers Prime figures. Nothing too exciting though. Ain't It Cool News: The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news.

It would not surprise me to see more sneak peeks over the next few days.

I can't wait to see the DCUC pics speacilly for wave 18. I hope this rumor Superfriends is in this wave.

They've released some images of the new Transformers PRIME figures, and they look amazing!! They also released the DOTM ULTIMATE Optimus Prime with trailer. It's really blah-ish for 80 bucks.

Ok. News and press releases are starting to hit.

Bandai has announced more about their Thundercats line. We are getting a role play Sword of Omens as well as figures based on the new show and the old show.

Also McFarlane Toys has annouced that they have the license to make toys for the Walking Dead. The prototypes will be shown at Toy Fair.

I saw packaging shots and I think he's an exclusive figure.

Like Lion O & Tigar but disapointed in Panthor and he was always my favorite character out of all the Thunder Cat. I don't remember Pathor looking like that he was big but not that big. So looks like I will not get him and just get Lion O and Tigar.

It is important to remember that the Panthor figure you see there is one based on his look from the new series. They are doing a toy line based on the new series and one based on the old series.

I like the Classic Thundercats figures. The new "anime" style isn't my favorite. I can see why they wanted to update it. We'll see if the series takes off, I mean they tried the same thing with Masters of the Universe and that didn't stick around for long. People were nostalgic for the older show and figures, so those re-releases did better.

Rebelscum is reporting that there will be a new Mouse Droid. WOOT

Also new Disney/Star Wars. A new Star Tours II figure sets. It sounds like Vader and Boba Fett are going to be in ST II.

Marvel Universe:

Woot! We are getting Darkhawk and Dr Strange.

The line needs more female characters. Hopefully more will be revealed.
