I started buying a lot of these but I had to stop because it's such an expensive thing to continue on. My original plan B was to just get Main Street and then a few iconic attractions, but now I haven't even gotten that far. All the main street ones I have are still in their boxes. Only the castle is displayed. :(
I have the Haunted Mansion, cost around 300$. Was it worth it? Maybe, I would like the pirates one though that comes out in november.
I would love to start collecting these, but no where to display them currently, the one that I want first hasn't been released yet (wishing well). Gotta wait til have a house rather than an apartment.
For anyone who's interested, I've updated our Olszewski Disneyland miniatures page with information and pictures from today's release of Pirates.
Here's the direct link to the latest update: http://www.colddeadfish.net/dlr/olsz...805.html#nov18.
And here's the updated release schedule: http://www.colddeadfish.net/dlr/olsz....html#schedule.
Thanks.
Thanks for the update! It's great seeing all the future enhancements to the Disneyland collection.
I really wish they would give more information on the WDW pieces.
The launch was yesterday for PotC! That one looks really really cool.
Unfortunately, since I'm not old enough for a job, I don't have any since my parents aren't obsessed like me.
Well, since the release is at Disneyland, I wouldn't expect them to talk about the WDW pieces, the same way I wouldn't expect them to talk about the Disneyland pieces at WDW. I would expect that they would be giving lots more information about the WDW pieces during a WDW release. They'll answer questions if you ask about WDW pieces though. We only asked about the villains character pack because we want it. I don't care about the WDW line, so I don't ask questions about it or post any updates about it. Don't know if anyone else does.
Woot! I'll be keeping my eye open for that event announcement!Quote:

I just purchased the Train Station via e-bay. I was looking for Mr. Olszewski's signature, but I guess it's not signed. If yours is signed, can you please tell me where it was signed?
He signs it very very small, usually on the base of the actual piece (not the wooden base). It's usually on an edge so if you don't find anything on the perimeter of the piece, it's not signed.
If your ebay auction promised a signature, then it should be there. If it didn't say anything about a signature, then it won't have it.
I would...If i had money :( I only have the Haunted Mansion peice...I really really want the jungle cruise one....Anyone wanna sell me one for cheapo$$$$?
There is a great Yahoo Group for people who are collecting these pieces (or if you are thinking about it.)
Lots of information and help with questions. The recent news is that the first batch of bases are soon to arrive at Olszewski Studios and then be shipped out - very exciting.
