What collectibles do you collect?

I have a really big penguin collection. Every Christmas someone gets me something new. My favorite is a tin-toy type that you wind with a key. It has a sticker on it that says, "Keep away from children. Not a toy." I show it to my DH occasionally to show I'm a grown-up.

My Disney collection is eclectic. I have some art work, some antique spoons, a few snow globes, antenna balls, t-shirts, hotel stationery, figurines, dishes and utensils and other kitchen stuff, and my two youngest (7 & 9) have a Mickey and Friends themed room.

I get stuff I love, and when I look at it, wear it or use it, it makes me happy.

I don't know if I could get all of my penguins in a pic... I have them all over my house. You and I could start our own "Penguin Collection" thread!

Holiday Barbies!!! I have 5 I think, I'm not a crazy collector. But I did get Chinese New Year Barbie and Malaysian Barbie recently. I try to collect the Disney pins, but it's hard to do way out here.

Oh and I collect cats....but that is on hold for now since we have a "no more cats" rule from here on out.

Well let's see 'em! I posted pics of my Muppets and Nightmare Before Christmas figures in the Disney thread. I also have some Pirates figures that I never took pictures of.


Aside from Disney, I mostly collect Star Wars and Marvel heroes. (hehe yup, i'm a big dork).

Here's my latest and greatest: Jabba the Hutt

Oh wow...this makes me sad...I used to collect Star Wars and then when I was expecting my second child I decided to sell if off to furnish the nursery and make some room. I had 10 large storage containers full of everything from 1970's mint action figures to magazines...I still have my Burger King glasses though and a few other small things.

Now I have a very large collection of Disney Villains with a strong emphasis on the Evil Queen from Snow White(go figure) and other female villains. When we built our new house last May, we chose a floor plan that had a formal living/dining room just for my collection and my husbands wine collection.









See that little arm? That's why everything is behind glass with doors!






And then the very few peices of Jungle Bool that are my husbands...



Now I also have a very large Coca Cola collection that my entire kitchen is themed around....

Ooooh now THAT I want to see! I'm a huge fan of all things coca-cola. I don't buy everything there is but I do love the merchandise that I see on occasion. All I have to represent is a bottle opener keychain and also a regular bottle opener for the kitchen (shape of a coke bottle of course).

I can do that but it will be tomorrow before I can post the pictures...my kitchen is a mess right now and it will probably take more photos to show that collection...but here is a teaser...

I really love the Disney Harmony Kingdom boxes. They are kind of expensive so Only have 3. Last Christmas my sister gave me the Haunted Mansion opera singers. Adore it.
another collection I loved was this group of Villains mugs. They had the face of all the female villains on the front and a saying on the back with matte black background. They only made a set of seven as far as I know. I don't get excited about much in the way of collecting. maybe i haven't found the right collectible yet.

i kindof feel like i'm collecting pillows, just for me, i have 3 normal ones, 1 down, 3 body pillows, a big one (don't know what its called) and a few throws all on my bed, lol

Just for you Coheteboy...more pics of my Coca Cola collection. The following are just what is on top of my cabinets that border my kitchen.













And then this is one of my kitchen chairs that I covered myself with a Coke fabric.



Now I have many more items on my countertop but haven't photographed them yet. Also, at Christmas I have a tree that sits on the breakfast bar with all Coke ornaments on it and a very large Coke themed village that takes up half of my living room but I can't seem to find a picture of either right now. This should hold you over.

Here are a few of my shotglasses


For you race fans - the Nascar set on the bottom shelf - there's a ticket poking up out behind them - my mom brought me back the set and an unused ticket for the Daytona Gatorade 125's - box seats. I hate her.

This I think is the one from the farthest away - I do have one from Singapore, but I've never actually distanced either place - the shotglass to the right of Tasmania is from Venice - made of venetian glass and covered in 24k gold - it's my most expensive one - about $40.00.
