First look at Main Street Electrical Parade, New Shadow boxes

Today during the release of the Peter Pan Olszewski Miniature buyers got a preview look at the Main Street Electrical Parade miniatures.

    In normal light

In dark with the lights on

The colors cross fade into one another

We also got a look at new shadow boxes!!!

    Bambi

    Snow White

    Pinocchio

We talked to Robert Olszewski about release dates. The Main Street Electrical parade should be released sometime around March. At least, that's what they are hoping for. Originally Olszewski was not planning on doing much more after the Peter Pan piece. However, recently, Robert was introduced to John Lassetter who is a big fan of his work. This bodes well for the future of the development of the rest of the park miniatures, no?

Can you pre-order the electrical parade set? That's one that I definitely must have!

Wow! The MSEP is gorgeous! No matter how many times I see the Olszewski pieces, I am still amazed.

Those are really great pictures, but these pieces always look so much better in person. I know I will be there early for that release (but then again, what release am I not early for).

I guess we are not being notified anymore about re-releases. If I had known the astro-orbiter and town square was going to be available at the release event I likely would have been there . And sounds like the parade pieces aren't going to be moving down main street . Oh well, I guess I'll add that to our list of modifications . Glad to hear there's a lot in the works at the Olszewski Studios. I think I should marry a cast member so I can get a better discount or maybe I'll just hit a couple of banks on the way to anaheim .

Olszewski Studios knew that the shipment had arrived at Disney's warehouse on Thursday, but they didn't know if they would make it to Disneyana in time for the release. Disney apparently arranged for *some* of the pieces to get there, but Olszewski Studios didn't want to send out an announcement that the pieces were available without knowing for sure they would be. I expect an announcement will go out soon. You can check back with Disneyana or contact DelivEars to get the pieces, which should be available. Quite a number of people have reported ordering all three pieces through Delivears today.

Thanks for the info, I ordered Town Square & Asto Orbiter this morning . Delivears could not promise delivery by Christmas and no shipping date was provided but I'm glad I got to order them. Town Square is $125 and Astro Orbiter is $190 .

Are you sure on those prices? Astro Orbiter is now $215 in the park (well, the few they had Saturday were).

I'm crazy about the shadow boxes, they are so theatrical with their beautiful lighting. And at their much lower prices (than the Disneyland miniatures), they make wonderful gifts.
