Is it one piece? I was hoping you could just get certain floats.
You know, I absolutely love most of the Olszewski Disneyland pieces, but I have to admit I'm not really sold on this set either. I'm hoping it's simply a case of the picture not doing the piece justice or something. It will definitely be a wait-and-see kind of deal for me.
Your Life is an occasion, so rise up to it.
The auction benefiting my daughter's school is on April 26, so if anyone has any extra things they just aren't sure they want to keep in their collection but aren't sure what to do with, this is a great cause - our PTSO funds 2 staff positions along with our computer lab and great family programs. We need to make $15,000 just to stay in budget for next year so any help is appreciated. <end PSA>
I love my awesome crazy wonderful friends!!

Same here. I've waited through my share of 3-4 hour lines for the Main Street pieces so I obviously admire him, but these are an exact replica of the WDCC pieces, only in miniature. So unless he designed those too, I don't exactly see the innovation with these...not that it stops me from being there next weekend though.

I just wanted to wish those able to attend tomorrow a great time! I'm envious and hope y'all leave me some stock for Monday![]()
In celebration of the release, and to let those of you in line for your Main Street Electrical Parade set know I'm thinking of you, I'm sitting in my office listening to the Main Street Electrical Parade from the Fantasmic/MSEP CD right now, wishing I wasn't a few states awayLooking forward to reports and news on upcoming items! The song should end about 9am Pacific Time, which is when the event starts I believe. Have fun!
There were some good things at today's release and some negitive things. First of all, they used wristbands which was a plus. However, each wristband allowed people 2 pieces. Previously, they had it so if you wanted two, they gave you two wristbands so they knew exactally how many were left. They only got 200 pieces in, the rest held up by customs I heard, so only 100 wristbands and they went very fast. Yeah, not everyone will buy 2 each but those after the first 100 had to wait in line and just see what was left.
Another plus is that all the MSEP pieces on hand were resigned! Awesome, I was able to get two of the other pieces signed, went for the two Heirloom boxes, they are amazing in person.
Another negitive is that the MSEP pieces did not have their power plugs?? Anyways, they had everyone fill out a forum and they will be sending everyone the plugs for the pieces at no charge. Wonder where they ended up.
Someone asked earlier and I think the plan is to do the MSEP in segments. Another 5 float package will be coming out later in the year, but no one knows what the floats will be.
Personally, hoping for the Blue Fairy, Peter Pan and To Honor America
Thanks for the updates guys!
Personally I think they should limit it to 1 piece per person period since there is so much demand, but, hey, I wasn't there anyway![]()
Any info on new pieces or new items shown???
Congrats to all who were able to be there!!!
One one piece was on display (at least only one I noticed. The Moonliner in Tomorrwland! Its awesome! It can be taken off its base and put next to the Astro Orbitor in between that and Plaza Inn.
They said it should come out in July/August but Im expecting July for Disneyland's Birthday. Its release will be similar to that of the Marquee (hopefully, that means they will actually have a release event and not scrap the whole thing), in the fact that there will be an open edition, a Annual Passholder Limited Edition and a Cast Member Limited Edition.
Frick... i might have to get the moonliner because it's a rocket. (cohete = rocket in spanish)

Wow! A Moonliner sounds pretty cool--and is totally unexpected (by me at least).
Nice!
Thanks for the information!
Now I'm hoping for the next oddball announcement to be Swiss Family Robinson (or even better, the Tree of Life from AK).

Whats nice about the Moonliner is its a smaller piece and they said the pricing would be around that of the Marquee which $59, so were not talking about a large piece like Astro Orbitor at like $225+
