    Re: Mattel's Cars - discussion

I haven't heard of any other 4 packs, but that doesn't mean they aren't

I've had some luck lately on the deluxe front. In the past week I've found Kim & Munier from UFM, and 4 trucks from Monster: Dr, Rastacarian, McMean, Mater/Tormentor/whatever.

Thanks Dr. G. I feel like most are ending up in multi-packs eventually, and they're so much easier to store/display so I prefer them. But I don't want to miss singles now in hope they'll be out in box sets later.

I got these two sweet looking military vehicles from Unidentified Flying Mater at Target today

Strangely, they scanned at $4.99 each. I'm not sure if there's a sale going on or if it was a pricing error.

I wondered the same thing as mine rang up low too. They are very cool vehicles.

I haven't seen those yet, but I'll probably wait for the inevitable boxed set.

I found a couple of the Heavy Metal Mater boxed sets this morning at a new Target near me, so that set is now out and hitting. It actually looks really cool so I paid the $30, even though it was only 4 cars. Yes, I got sucked in...

You've probably seen this around on the net, but there's also a 9-pack set out at Target (haven't seen it yet) with 5 already released racers and 4 new photographers/fans, I believe.

I also found Dr. Mater with Mask Up, Big Fan, as well as Komodo and the Ninjas. There was also one Lenticular Milton.

I've been on the prowl for Heavy Metal Mater, and the 9-pack. I just found the Octane Gain crew set which was a good pickup. I've been paying the upcharge because I find they're easier to store in the boxes.

I found the 9-pack this morning. The tag on the shelf said $29.99 but it rang up at $39.99. I told the cashier tag price and he made the adjustment without even needing to walk back there and see it for himself. No sign of the Octane Gain set yet, but I did see some of the Dinoco and HTB sets in the newer packaging, so there's hope yet.

I'm still looking for the Octane Gain Hauler set. I found the crew. I'll have to check for the 9-pack.

I went to a Kmart and found me a Gask-Its and a Faux Wheel Drive. I can't remember what else I'm missing. I think I need Tach-O-Mint and Dash Boardman.

Maybe Tank Coat? Faux Wheel Drive?

I found plenty left over at my local K-mart.

    Re: Mattel's Cars - discussion

I have tank coat already from the pit crew launcher. and I have faux wheel drive (per my post).

I definitely need Tach-O-Mint and Dash Boardman if you see any at your local Kmart. Mine didn't have any.

And if you're at it, and see Sidewall Shine, I wouldn't mind having that. The one I have is the exclusive one in the case so it'd be nice to have another one.

    Re: Mattel's Cars - discussion

I stopped by TARGET on the way home from work and spotted a new 9-car set that's exclusive to Target. It's $39.99 ($4.44 per car) and includes:

    -Lightning McQueen (again)
    -The King (again)
    -Chick Hicks (again)

-Sidewall Shine no 74 (maybe new for you)
-Clutch Aid no 121 (maybe new for you)

    -Dash Boardman (new photographer)
    -Houser Boon (new photographer)
    -Tim Rimmer (new photographer)
-Timothy Twostroke (new yelling McQueen fan)

Now... the box says "4 Exclusive Vehicles" so I'm guessing they're not going to release the cameramen and Timothy Twostroke carded?

The other day I DID see a carded lenticular eyes Tim Rimmer, but not sure of his normal eyed availability. I went ahead and bought this just in case, even though I didn't need 5 of the cars (that's $20!!)
