Favorite excursions?

What are everyone's favorite Disney Cruise excursions (especially at Nassau at Castaway Cay)? Least favorite?

Re: Favorite excursions?

I've only been to Castaway Cay once (just a few months ago), and I loved the Stingray Adventure. I was surprised at how big and how many there were of them. It was really fun to feed and touch them. If you do this, be sure to bring an underwater or waterproof camera!

Re: Favorite excursions?

Personally I loved the snorkeling at Castaway Cay, nice low/no currents you can just have a leisurely swim off the beach. Big difference from reef diving in open water where you're constantly fighting the currents.

Re: Favorite excursions?

Gotta agree with that too. I especially liked finding the underwater finds like the treasure chest, Minnie (Mickey was in refurb), and the other items "lost" at the bottom of the ocean

Re: Favorite excursions?

Sorry, inside joke

I came face-to-face with a barracuda (actually he was about 5-6 ft away) while snorkeling at Castaway Cay. I never swam so fast in my life!!!

VF, your little smilie dude totally looks like your face as you described your harrowing adventure.

We didn't do an excursion on CC. We brought our own snorkeling gear and had a great time exploring. It was so much fun bumping into other MiceChat snorkelers as we swan around.

Re: Favorite excursions?

We loved the Dolphin Encounter on Nassau. The dolphin kissed my three year old and she still talks about it.

The dolphin also gave a raspberry to my mom. It was so funny!

Re: Favorite excursions?

I did the parasailing excursion in Castaway Cay and a small boating excursion in Nassau, I forget what it was called. I went back in 2001 I think when Aaron Carter was on the cruise.

Re: Favorite excursions?

DId Black Beard's Cay November 17--The beach was very quite. We played in the water and on the sand, then snorkeled with the sting rays. One of the stingrays got a little to excited and bit my wife on the leg--they produce a good bit of suction. A little bit of blood drawn, but a souvenir too last a long time. Lunch was minimal--hotdog or hamburger, chips and soda.

Overall a good time. I think the high value to us was it was uncrowded--really, very few people, so building sand castles was easy. My 11 year old had never been on a beach before.

Castaway Cay--we just played on the beach and swam. Picked up some beach toys on the Island. We live in Alaska and just could not find any beach toys before the trip.
