Smile Over $27 for a six pack of beer

    Mouseplanet reported that:
"Disney Cruise Line guests are now able to pre-purchase . . . six-packs of selected beers in 16-ounce aluminum bottles. For $27.50 per six-pack . . . guests can have any of these choices of beer provided to them for their voyage. The 6-packs cannot be assorted, so you'll have to order an entire pack of the same type of beer: Bud Light, Bud Light Lime, Budweiser. . ."

That might seem a tad overpriced, but again, the cans are 16 ounces, not 12 ounces, and these are the world's finest premium beers, so it's actually an astonishing value.

    Thanks again, Disney!

That's cruising for you. You can cruise for cheap unless you want to drink booze.

I'm not sayin' it's Pabst or Miller, but sure.

BTW, two Miller products round out your six-packs for only $27.50 options.

Ashee, I'll remember to bring my own booze or go without if I cruise.

Tine Fey has a funny essay about cruising in her new book.

Disney is one of the lines that will actually let you bring alcohol onboard. They get you up front with high fares, whereas most cruise lines depend heavily on casino revenues and booze sales to meet the bottom line.

On other cruise lines, you need to perfect a few smuggling techniques if you want to drink cheaply.

no but Bud Light Lime is. Lime makes everything seem exotic and premium.

Of course I agree. Especially when it comes to lime flavor as created by the artists who work in NJ's taste replication chemical labs.

Oh my gosh, American mass-produced beer is among the worst in the world. Just about anything made in Germany beats Bud Light.

They did change the alcohol policy last week to limit carry-on. It went over so well with the internet community that the change lasted one full day before it was changed back .
