Disney Cruise Lines is no longer offering December 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2012 cruises on the Disney Wonder.

Mexico's crime problem is out of hand. My friends stayed in (what was supposed to be) the safe, upscale resort of Cancun. But thugs, believed to be working for the Mexican drug cartel, entered their hotel and began beating people up. They ran for their lives and hide on the beach during the night.
The Mexican drug cartels do NOT want tourists to visit Mexico. That was their way of sending the message...you're not safe anywhere in this country. Tourism hurts their drug trade.

I have a suspicion that the sales for the Mexico cruises are slow because of the problems with Mexico. It is not a good place and no one I know has a desire to go there.

The Magic's itenarary also hasn't been posted for 2013 yet. I have a feeling the port of LA isn't happy with them and that perhaps one of the Disney ships is trying to get a contract with a port in Europe. Just a feeling though.

On our last cruise we spoke with a cruise-booker, he was soooo nice if I may add. Anyway, we talked about what may be happening to the Magic or Wonder and he said he's heard rumors about them being rented to other companies, but nothing has been confirmed. Quite frankly, renting a ship out (if that's what they call it) totally doesn't seem Disney so I'm not counting on it. I'm still thinking Europe. However, I hope not because the European cruises will be crazy expensive and we still need a cruise aboard the Magic to get all the ships in, hahaha.
