On a typical overcast and rainy Seattle morning, the Disney Wonder pulled into Pier 91, the home of one of two of Seattle cruise terminals, for the first time. I came to the waterfront at 6:15am to find the ship already in the Elliot Bay, beginning its turn for the pier.
This is the second year that Disney Cruise Line has offered a cruise to Alaska and the first time that the ship has sailed out of Seattle. Last year, the Disney Wonder sailed to Alaska out of Vancouver. The Disney Wonder will be sailing out of Seattle until September 3. Disney has already announced that the Disney Wonder will return to Vancouver for the 2013 Alaskan sailings.
Seattle Disney fans rarely have anything to report, so this is exciting news for us! Here a few pictures that I snagged this morning:
