Info about Port Canaveral Radisson

Hello,

I highly recommend arriving to Florida the day before your Disney Cruise ship sets sail. You never know with airport delays, etc and they will not hold the ship for you. Plus, why not maximize your time on the ship?

The terminal opens at 10:30am. You will then receive a number and they will start boarding by number around 12:30ish. You can then have lunch on the ship and head to the Mickey pool. It's not as crowded at this time.

When we sailed, we arrived the day before and stayed at the Radisson Resort at the Port. We had a king suite- king bed in the bedroom with a jacuzzi tub and a pull out sofa, micro and fridge in the living room. They also have suites with two kings in the bedroom. And, of course, they have regular rooms.

The rooms were good size and the hotel was very clean. All of the people who worked at the hotel were helpful and friendly.

We ate breakfast the next morning at the hotel restaurant. Yummy. It was a buffet.

The pool was great. They even have a little kiddie pool.

They have a room rate where you can park your car at their hotel while you are on the cruise. They will take you to the port before the cruise and pick you up at the port at the end of the cruise. The first shuttle to the port is 10am. After the cruise, we did not wait long for a shuttle (maybe 10 minutes).

Of course the prices vary, but a king whirlpool suite is $169 and a standard room is $129 during the value season.

Thanks, thats good to know. My DSis is flying into MCO the night before our cruise so that gives her another option vs paying for transportation from mco and then needing a rental car for our land part of our vacation.
