Passport turn-around time

I have been hearing people getting their passports within 4 weeks of applying; which is great considering the time frame last year. I just applied for my passport so I am curious to see how long it takes now.

Re: Passport turn-around time

My family had theirs within 2 weeks. I couldn't believe it. So glad I didn't pay for the expedited service!

Re: Passport turn-around time

In February. I'm still shocked. A friend sent us a package in the mail from within our own state, at around the same time, and the passports were faster. Processed and returned, including them sending back an expired passport and my son's birth certificate.

Re: Passport turn-around time

Applied for my passport on 3/22 at our local post office. Received my passport today; a week and half turn-around time. I didn't even pay for the expedited service.

Yeah, thats great. My kids and I took a cruise on pretty short notice the end of August. It took 3 1/2 weeks to get their passports with expidited service.
