Re: We're just cruisin' along...

Day 13 - At sea

Well, with our last port behind us, we could feel the trip winding down. On one hand, I was ready to go home, but on the other hand I didn't want to leave the ship. A bad day of cruising always beats a good day at work .

I started hanging out a lot this day just watching the sea go by. I love being in the middle of nowhere with nothing but the ocean surrounding you and soon it was going to end. Even the weather kind of reflected this as it became more overcast and cold the closer we got to home:

This evening was the show that was voted the best cruise ship show, Disney Dreams, where a little girl discovers the power of her dreams.

Tonight was also our last formal dinner, so here's one more look at lovely our MiceChatters and friends look when all cleaned up:

We all celebrated Earkid and GoofyGolfer's 10th anniversary with them.

They passed the cake around the table and we all took a bite, a couple people reallllly liked the cake

Later that night, they had magician Mike Super perform in the big theatre and he was great...I love magic, and he was not only a great magician, but a fun perfomer.

Day 14 - Our last day at sea

It was the last day of our trip and it felt kind of somber. You could feel the difference on the ship. The crew was getting ready for a new ship full of passengers, everybody was starting to pack, and the weather was getting cooler. I kind of went around and said goodbye to a few of the crew that I had gotten to know a little, and just walked around looking at the different areas of the ship that had become to feel like home.

We all got into the last bingo game...the jackpot had not been won and was now up to $31,000! Joe and I split some cards, but alas, were not the winners. One person won the entire jackpot. Now that would make your trip!

We had our farewell dinner...the menus:

And our last dinner party and ...the presentation of Baked Alaska:

And finally a farewell gather in the main Atrium to say goodbye to the chracters. It was all rather bittersweet .

We met for our last breakfast the next morning after we had already docked in the LA Harbor. It was sad saying good bye to our servers...they had become part of the family!

So, here's where our 15 day cruise ends. It was an amazing trip full of beautiful ports, fun-filled excursions, great food, and just the most relaxing time you can imagine. The worse part was not leaving the ship, but saying goodbye to the people who we had spent this journey with. It was the friends I spent the time with that made the trip what it was. To each of you, thank you for the memories

And I'll leave you with one last picture (I think after 15 days of Disney, I read a little too much into this picture, but maybe you'll see it too)

Thank you for reading my report. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did telling the story of our trip.

Joanne, Outstanding report and pictures. I know you had been excited about this trip for many, many months and I am so greatful that you shared your pictures and stories with us. I really, really wish I had been there especially to do ziplining with you. Your last picture just sums the whole trip up beautifully.

Such a great TR and such great memories with you! Kevin is next to me right now, half asleep, and he saw your last pic and instantly said "hidden Mickey". Of course he was on the ship 15 days too.

I'm developing my TR on Smugmug, got about 5 days done so far. I'll post a link here when I'm done. Can I post a pic of your ring........the ring.

Re: We're just cruisin' along...

Magnificent trip report Joanne!

I instantly saw the hidden Mickey at the end...so cool!

I love hearing your version of the cruise and seeing all of your wonderful pictures! I'm so glad you took all of those pictures of the shows and all of those pictures in Cabo San Lucas since we didn't get any of those!

If you ever get in the mood to do ziplining again without going so far away, just let Ken or me know and we'll get you set up in the trees here in Santa Cruz...and I don't mean our back yard.....there's actually a place just like the one you were at about five minutes from our house!

Thanks again for the awesome trip report! We're so glad you were on the cruise with us to make it even more special!

JoJo, your TR was truly wonderful and beautiful! I loved every single picture and story that went with it. I agree with Patty, you are fully stunning in formal wear. And that Mickey sun...priceless.
