Breakfast in Lumiere’s by a porthole.

Meeting Captain Thord

My birthday dinner in Lumeiere’s.

What the savvy cruiser wears..........blinged out flip flops.

I love this light fixture.

My birthday cake

We’ve arrived at Cristobal, Panama. Tomorrow is the day we’ve been waiting for!

Our first view of all the activity around the Canal

The sub that made us late into the locks.

Old French canal on the right, current canal on the left

A closer view

Into the lock with the help of a waving Mickey hand

The ships are lining up for their turn

Heading under the Centennial Bridge

We caught up to the sub at the Pedro Miguel Lock.

The lock beside us rapidly filling up

So close to the walls. The view from a deck 3 porthole.

Resting on the way to the final set of locks, the Mira Flores locks.

Panama City

Under the Bridge of the Americas and into the Pacific

Yea! Our Ducky Williams litho was waiting on our beds after dinner

Today was going to be a recovery day since the trip through the Canal was long and hot. But I’d do it again in a heartbeat. We woke up to find the sea was like glass.

We went to Ducky William’s presentation. He has got to be the nicest, most generous man on the planet.

As usual he had drawings to raffle off at the end. I wanted the Tinker Bell drawing so bad but didn't win.

Later we were able to have Ducky sign our litho and some of the lenticular postcards.

It was Prince and Princess, semi-formal night. The tiaras were everywhere.

The chocolate slipper wasn’t what we expected…..but still good.

Another lazy sea day.

DH went to the Captain’s Q&A and said it was very interesting.

A great dinner deserves a great Thank You

Gotta have another chocolate something

We call him “Mayan Dude”

We took a late night tour of the ship and found a beautiful moon above a beautiful stack.

The ship is kind of neat when it’s deserted.

Hello Acapulco!

Oops, it’s not Acapulco, it’s VW-land.

This is where we start our hike to view the Petroglyphs of Palma Sola

Petroglyphs

The view from the top, the Magic is over Kevin’s shoulder. OMG it was sooooo hot and humid.

We visited Tequila land

Minnie entertained us with a Mexican dance. Who knew she could move like that?

I'm just loving reliving all of this Shayne! I love the picture of you in the porthole, that was one of my favorite spots too.

The chocolate something dessert ...we had so many of those!

Keep posting pictures...maybe we can just keep our threads going until the next cruise .

Aw, Jo I miss you so much. It was so much fun to have dinner with everyone every night and chat about our adventures. I think I will stay away from the chocolate somethings on my next cruise. They were all kind of disappointing, except for that rich chocolate thingy at Palo.

Post away. You won't get any argument from me. You could post a "cruise pic of the week". That would keep us going for years! Wheee!

Shayne, my postcard just got here from Castaway Cay It was postmarked the July 16th. I guess it was on the slow boat. So you were thinking about me while you were sailing away.

See, I told you I was thinking of you guys. I handed those postcards over to DCL to be mailed on May 11th and they get postmarked July 16th. I'm just glad everyone is starting to get them. A nice little surprise.
