Music From The Films Of Tim Burton

Does anyone else have this CD? It must have just been released recently because it includes music from Sweeney Todd also.

Anyway, this CD only has instrumental music pieces from songs that appeared in Tim Burton films, no vocals. The musical pieces are performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir.

    The tracks include:

    Sweeney Todd
    Main Title
    No Place Like London
    A Little Priest
    Johanna

    Nightmare Before Christmas
    Christmas eve Montage

    The Corpse Bride
    The Piano Duet/Victor's Piano
    Solo

    Sleepy Hollow
    End Credits

    Batman
Theme, Flowers, Love Theme, The Joker's Poem, Up The Cathedral, Waltz To The Death, The Final Confrontation

    Batman Returns
    End Credits

    Edward Scissorhands
    Main Title/Ice Dance

    Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
    Finale

    Beetle Juice
    Main Title

    Pee Wee's Big Adventure
    Breakfast machine

    Ed Wood
    Main Title

    Mars Attacks!
    Introduction and Main Titles

Does anyone else have this CD? What are your opinions on it? What Tim Burton Film songs not included on ths CD do you like?

I like "What's This" (NBC), "Not While I'm Around" (Sweeney), "This is Halloween" (NBC), etc. I wish the orchestra music for those songs were also included on this CD.

I bought it on Amazon two days ago and have it playing right now. I love Johanna and The Ice Dance music from Edward Scissorhands.

I voted for Sweeney Todd as I think it's his most complete story yet, and it's a musical about something really horrible, but done to perfection.

I will have to look into this CD as well. From what you have told me it sounds really cool.

I have Music for a Darkend Theater that I have enjoyed for a while.
I want to add this one to my collection.

I voted for other-I really like the Men in Black theme. Actually I was torn but cause the music from Pee Wee's Big Adventure is classic!

I like Edwards Scissorhands also. I mean, you can't help but feel sorry for him accidentally killing his creator. Also, he represents a lot of people. He represents the Black Sheep, the outcast, the stranger looking in, the person looking for acceptance, etc. I mean, who can't relate to a character who wants acceptance? Scissorhands is definatly one of Burton's cult classics and it rightfully deserves that status.

Sweeny Todd was amazing. I loved it. When I first saw the preview I was not expecting it to be as great as it was. After I saw it the Broadway play came to Los Angeles so I bought tickets to that as well (it was also amazing). Another one of Burton's great movies was not listed above. That movie is Big Fish. That movie was so good. That movie is like a dream.

Re: Music From The Films Of Tim Burton

I just got mine off of Zune Marketplace and it's great. thank you for letting us know!

    I'm listing now.

I really have been a big fan of Danny Elfman since i realized people have to write music for movies, so as you can imagine it's been a while...But anyway...while the recordings for films are great as a backdrop for what's on screen, i really love how on this, just the music is the main focus...no holding back so you can hear what they are saying on screen, ect. This fells more true to real music. Simply Beautiful

    and just FYI

My Rottweiler is singing along outside the door...it really adds to the music

Your more than welcome Krystle. You see, it's kinda funny. I stumbled upon this CD by mere accident.

I was bored the other day and was just having fun doing Google searches, and Google images searches, on the Sweeney Todd actors, and anything Sweeney related. On one of the websites I stubled upon, they briefly mentioned this CD. So then I did a google search on the CD and got directed to Amazon .

It's neat what a little bit of investigating will do for you .

I agree. But like I said earlier, I also wish they included the instrumental version of "Not While I'm Around" From Sweeney Todd. The young teen who played Toby, Ed Sanders, did an AWSOME job singing it in the movie, but when I heard the bridged instrumental version of the song in the movie credits, I just wished I could hear the whole song that way. Guess I will still have to keep wishing .

I have that Darkened Theater album by Danny Elfman as well and it's a great CD. I used to listen to it all the time, but lately I don't listen to CD's much at all. I keep falling asleep because the only time I have to listen to them is late at night when I am in bed and I like falling asleep to music. But it's a great album and now I am going to have to get this one as it sounds great. So I did. Just now on Amazon. I think this is a good purchase.

Well I hope you still enjoy that Deluxe Edition Sweeney Todd Movie Soundtrack CD I bought you as a gift a few months back LostBoy .

I still listen to it on my computer . In fact, the four Sweeney Todd tracks on this Tim Burton CD keep making me want to listen to the actual Sweeney Todd CD!

Aside from this CD, The Sweeney Todd and Nightmare Before Christmas motion picture soundtracks are the two best Tim Burton CD's I have . Talk about wonderful music!

Of course I do. That one is in the CD player all the time. It holds 5 so I rotate around but that one is there all the time. I have a feeling that this new CD will also be put in so two of these will be there all the time.

Danny Elfman has done some great music for his films. They are really unique and have a sound all there own. This should be good.
