The Secret Life of Bees

I just finished the book about 2 weeks ago. This is my new favorite book. It used to be So B. It, since it's beautiful. The Secret Life of Bees, however is beautiful and full of girl power. I thought that the ending was a little too fast, but for once I read a book that ended with the main character being happy. I loved the story. I'm interested in seeing the movie, however, because the book probably would have been rated R, since the words used, and the fact that the author described a suicide. However, I thought it was great for women, especially since it was set in 1964. You should definitely read it! Anyone agree?

The only thing I've heard about the movie is it's very sad.
