Talking 4th Peter and the....Book Coming Soon

I just finished an article in the new Disney23 magazine on books and the author mentioned that the 4th Peter Pan Prequel book will be out in October. The title is "Peter and the Sword of Mercy". That's all I know right now, other than it will be a must have book.

Man i really need to start reading these lol
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Not as far as I know, but they are published by Disney and they are planning some kind of movie based on these books. They can be found online at Amazon and it just about any Barnes and Noble or Borders Book Stores in the Children's Book area. They are wonderful books and the harcovers have really beautiful covers. And they are priced as kids books so they are not wallet breakers. If you love Peter Pan like I do, then you will love these books.

Re: 4th Peter and the....Book Coming Soon

Just keep an open mind. This is a different look at where Peter, Tinkerbell, Hook and the Lost Boys came from. It is a pleasure to read and a lot of fun and gives you lots to think about concerning his origin. And wait till you find out who teaches him to fly, and the reason he can fly. It's really well done and fits in pretty well with the original story.

Also the same author has another Disney related series of books out with the overall title of "Kingdom Keepers". The first two are set in WDW with the first being in The Magic Kingdom and the 2nd in Animal Kingdom. The third sounds like it might be the last as it will bring the group to Disneyland. It's about that old age myth that after dark, when the parks are empty, the A/A figures come to life. The only problem is that it's the Villains this time and they are trying to take over the Disney Parks. They do require a bit more suspension of beleif as they are very interesting and they also are well written and fun to read. I recommend both the Peter and The Starcatchers and Kingdom Keepers very highly.

I've been meaning to read these for a while now, I'm going to have to get started on them. (SIGH) So much to read, so little time.

These are by Dave Barry? Or co-written by him, correct?

Correct, and be sure to read all three in order. That is very important to the mythology here.

I bought the first one because I love Dave Barry. But they really are great books and not just for kids.

    Peter and The Starchasers
    Peter and the Shadow Thieves
Peter and the Secret of Rundoon

They are co-written by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson.

Be sure to get the hardcover editions (they are considered Kids books so they are not as expensive in HC as most fiction books) because the covers are so good. They are part of the fun in this series.

Also there is a book "Hook" which is not by them but is good nonetheless. It chronicles the childhood and early years of the man who became Capt. James Hook and it's very good. You also learn who Smee is and why he sticks so close to Hook.

Also by Riddley Pearson are the Kingdom Keepers books. Two for now and another to come. They are stories of A/A villians in Disney Theme Parks who come to life and are trying to take over the Parks. The first book takes place in The Magic Kingdom, the 2nd takes place mainly in Animal Kingdom and the upcoming 3rd will take us to Disneyland. They are very "Out There" in nature but are a fun read. The technology talked about Holographic Guides is not here, yet. But someday? Who knows. All these book come highly recommended for both Peter Pan fans and Disney Theme Park fans.

    Thanks!

I have the Hook book but haven't read it yet. I have read the first Kingdom Keepers book. I still need to get the second one.
