I think it started off great....
SpoilerI figured out that the bad guy was Peter's son REALLY early on so it was kinda anti-climatic when it happened on paper. The ending Knowledge was kinda a let down too.....
It was Meh.

Not the best Langdon novel. Angels is still my favorite.
SpoilerWhat did you all think about Langdon "dying"?
I played nice since I haven't read it I didn't look under the spoilers... but the 3/5 rating makes me second guess reading it considering the first two were literally miss and base hit...
I enjoyed the first two simply because I sometimes like fast-paced adventure and trivia as an escapist sort of thing. Brown isn't a great writer, but he's not horrible.
I finished #3 a few days ago and honestly I was very disappointed. It was too simple and too easily figured out, no complexities. I too found that instead of wanting to read right through, I kept setting it down and leaving it.
I had to choke it down to finish it. It took longer to read the last chapter than the rest of the book. I gave it to my aunt and told her to donate it to Goodwill when she was done. This book sucked to no end.
Not Dan Browns best by ANY means. In fact, even his non-Langdon books were better.
I did however miss one of the twists (that I should have got)
SpoilerThat Mal'akh was the son
but totally had another one pegged when it seemed Langdon could have pulled it out in 2 seconds
Spoilerthat the pyramid/stairs was the Washington Monument.
Although, the book may make a good movie. Maybe that's what he was going for?
