    Re: Christmas music

Bing Crosby/David Bowie - Little Drummer Boy is an audio rip from Bing's final Christmas TV special. It was lost to time until it was re-discovered and released as a single in te late 1980's. Though I don't think it appears on any of Bowie's Albums it has been included on many CD Christmas compilations including [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Now-Thats-What-Call-Christmas/dp/B00005OLYC"]"Now That's What I Call Christmas"[/ame]

Here is the Youtube [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zMhSjDqvRs"]clip [/ame]from the special

There's something just so very wrong about that, on sooo many levels...but if it gets ratings for them, so be it...I don't like Christmas until December. Call me a grinch. Weekend after Thanksgiving, earliest.

LOL. Same here. After Remembrance Day, I like to have a two week gap that's holiday reference free. We usually start putting up our decorations the last weekend of November, but don't light up our outside lights until Dec 1.

While singing with Bing, too bad Bowie didn't have his Ziggy Stardust outfit on.

    Re: Christmas music

I really enjoy classic Christmas music from the 30's, 40's and 50's. All the Rat Pack crooners. It just feels so warm and merry listening to that while we decorate, bake and especially during dinner on Christmas night. Years ago a friend of mine gave me a 4 disc Christmas collection of all the classic singers and I play it every year and never tire of it.

    OK, I'll bite.

    You're crazy! But probably happier.

I've been listening to Christmas music since the summer. I've been waiting far too long for it to be here.

Add to my list...the stuff from Peanuts Christmas featuring the one and only Vince Guaraldi on piano....especially "Christmastime Is Here"...David Benoit does a good job of carrying on Vince's tradition, too.

    Re: Christmas music

hahaha, I've been singing Christmas songs since the end of september! (partly because we started learning Christmas songs then for choir) but also out of just because I can and I love these songs. haha. Heck, in July, I was at my friend's house for a karaoke night and we ended the night with christmas songs! =D

My favorites include, but are not limited to (in no particular order) -
    Breath of Heaven
    Where are you Christmas
    Silent Night
    Away in a Manger
    Little Drummer Boy
    Hark the Herald Angels Sing
Angels we Have Heard on High
    God rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
    Believe
and everything on the Jump5 Rock This Christmas CD
    =D
Sing like no one is Listening
Dance like no one is Watching
    Smile like you're at Disneyland
Live like there is no Tomorrow
    The End

Star light, Star bright, first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish that I wish tonight. I'll make a wish and do as Dreamers do. And all our wishes will come true. <3

It's a nice day when you wake up in Disneyland...
