An abomination. I cry for Freddie.

And soon as someone reminds Diva Steven of his contractual obligations and what it will cost him $$ to get out of them, I'm sure there will be a reconciliation.

Paul Rodgers recently just left Queen after being with Queen for five years.

I hope Aerosmith doesn't go the way of Van Halen. While Sammy is a great musician, he pretty much killed the band.
    Growing older is manditory
    Growing up is however, optional

Maybe Aerosmith can go on that show that INXS went on to find a new lead singer.

We all know how well that went!

Or go the Judas Priest route and pickup a cover band lead singer.

Or even do a Journey and go on youtube to find a new singer, just make sure that the new guy stands as far away from the camera as possible and out of focus!

Re: Steven Tyler has left Aerosmith

    I think......I may throw up.

I just found this out. I went to Yahoo....and there...on the front page....was Steven Tyler's name. I wondered why he was in the popular searches. And there was the bad news.

I am a hard core Aerosmith fan. I even carry an Aerosmith purse.

The depressing thing? This means, I may never have the chance to see my favorite band in concert. I had tickets 6 years ago to see them in Biloxi....and we had to cancel. They came to Tulsa and Dallas a few months ago...I couldn't go. Hubby wasn't back from Iraq yet. NOw, I may never see them.

    THIS SUCKS!

    Apparently it's not true.

Steven Tyler: I’m Not Leaving Aerosmith; Joins Joe Perry Project at New York Concert : Rolling Stone : Rock and Roll Daily

Steven probably figured out how much $$ he'd be losing.

Oh, thank goodness. Sounds like Joe wants him to leave.

I have 1 word for you: AC/DC. They had some of their biggest successes after Bon Scott died and Brian Johnson became lead singer.

True, but their style didn't really change until their guitarist left, eventually abandoning prog-rock all together after Duke. As much as I love some songs from the synth-pop/new wave era, they just weren't the same band anymore.

As for Aerosmith, although I'm glad the Steve Tyler's staying, they've pretty much run their course already.

I have no problem with replacing lead singers, but I think the new Queen shouldn't have even come into play. Freddie must be rolling over in his grave.

I prefer Scott over Johnson any day though, but that's just me

When I saw the thread that clinks posted in the WDW forum, my heart skipped a beat. SO glad it's not true.

Hmmm...what is Perry up to? It sorta sounds like he's trying to force Steven out of the band.

Brilliant way to get Aerosmith's name in the news again and increase album sales. I figured this was just a publicity stunt.
